Ok, so I am interested in a similar treatment for my 2001 singlecut. Do you offer this as a service, or is this simply for the sake of videos? Think I should go to the PTC instead?

I’m laughing in my imagination of what you could’ve said. “Ok how do we improve, we’ll first we’re gonna route the body for a Floyd, then we’re gonna route for some emgs, and we think trapezoid inlays would look really bitchin, so we’re gonna route the next for those, and since we think black guitars look better we’re gonna rattle can the body as well...”

Haha when I was about 14 this guy I knew was a rich kid and this was his first guitar and he BUTCHERED it with doing exactly what you just said. When I asked him why in the hell would you do that his response was "chill man it was an experiment it's not like I cant buy a new one." While I sat there treasuring my epiphone sg 400pro lol.

What are you doing fondling this guitar...it is sacred to the asses, how have you come to hold this example of an eclectic eccentric artifact of space/time to be beholden by only those chosen few who have paid the fee upon the man who walks before KZread and hearkens the heralds like an angel who sings: "BUY MY LESSONS and SEE me GOOF....Upload per day will get you TOO!!"

Karl Golden Oh! Hi Karl!
I always find cleaning guitars so oddly satisfying, it looks so shiny and nice, especially the material on the new hardware, shiny nice brass. I just love looking at it.
The difference in the pickups is astounding....Phillip, you took a good guitar and made it great!
In my opinion, these are the best videos that you do.
My very first guitar is currently also undergoing "sharpening". This video makes me even more excited for getting it back :D

PheonixSlayer24 it's an LTD single cut in black/gold. I got some Fishman modern pickups and locking tuners for it. That thing rips now. Sounds like a mountain breaking apart.
You’re the man, Phil. Thanks for this. I needed some tips on soldering and you answered a lot of questions.
Really loved this video. It can often be a fear to upgrade the old girls we own, especially out of the fear of change. But I think when you make wise and informed decisions when doing so, you don't lose the feeling of the old girl, you improve it. It brings new life into the relationship. Wonderful job Phil, looks and sounds amazing!
just finished watching the whole video. Great video!
*If you're worried about "chewing up" your screws with a screwdriver, put a wide rubber band across it before you push the screwdriver in and it will let you turn it 100% without ever actually touching the finish. Oh, and it's a great trick for stripped screws, too.*
This series has quickly become one of my all time favorites, cant wait to see more, and I hope it stays evergreen.
Thank you for the video. I think the upgrades were well planned, and would be exactly what I would want. I really like the locking tuners on my guitars that have them. I like being able to fine tune the intonation, and the coil splits add some nice versatility, so you could do almost any type of gig with this one guitar. If I ever need to solder something, I'll try to remember this video, as well.
This episode is epic! I love seeing the crossover between channels. Big fan of both you guys. Take care
One of the best, most entertaining, and still very educational videos. Thanks Phil!
I love these videos. It’s great you show how to tweak small things for a big impact.
I have the dual design straplocks on all my guitars... love them!
OMG those pickups! When I thought it couldn't get better, the coil-splitted 57 blew my mind!
Phillip love your channel and especially this series.....You remind me of someone .....Mr Rodgers.....now of the guitar world. Keep on brother!!!
I love this series! I wanna upgrade my squire strat, but just never have the funds lol. I love how he talks about all the new part more in depth then I’d know. I always learn something while watching these.
Always learn so much from your videos, thank you!
ha, I was asking myself how I missed this until I looked at the date... Great idea btw. Now going to watch Music is Wind to see what he says about sending it off... Love it when you guys work together on stuff... Lots of fun for us out here. Almost forgot,,, cool upgrades.. Great job.
I really enjoyed this. I like those tecchy videos of yours that give great advice on what and what not to do when servicing your guitar.
Yea music is win \m/!
I’ve been watching your vids for a while but now I’m getting excited. Love modding guitars. Love to see your approach! Nuts and bolts!
I have a PRS USA SC245- and this video inspired me to model my “sharpening” similar to this. Your mods were tasteful, added functionality and aesthetic looks!
I've been playing guitar for 37years and I love this channel
This is awesome, all the upgrades I'd love to do encapsulated in one video, Tyler's a lucky guy. Awesome job, Phillip!
Did not expect to be so absorbed by these videos. Great job! Subscribed.
I'm so glad I got here! Thanks Tyler for sharing such a great channel!
I'm so happy to see my Fender Amp in the background. Even professionals love it!
Love this video! Tasteful choices all around. Appreciate your attention to the smallest detail. Cheers man!
Yasssss!!! You did a great job Phil!!! Congrats and love both videos. Cant wait for the podcast!
Fantastic job Phil.
Awsome I just like the fact that all you guys on you tube get along and don't try to back bite one another.it really is about the fun of gear and the fun of music.👍👍
Awesome work and a fun, informative video. Thanks Phil!
Those locking Klusons are incredible! I have them on my Gibson SG and they are smooth as butter
Oh my god, those pickups sound amazing... My head is about to explode. Really. Well done.
This video is a great inspiration to me. I love absolutely love these older single cut PRS guitars and was looking to find a second hand SC250 in the next few years and change out the parts as a personal project at home!
Wow, I just discovered your channel here on "KZread. What a beautiful guitar, great job adding all those upgrades.

You see how these PRS are the perfect guitars when improving it involves replacing the pickup rings and knobs.

Even in PRS's overseas line, I've never played a PRS that I hated. They've all been badass.
This is great two of my favorite KZread channels great idea guys!!
You're my new favorite KZread celebrity ... this was great, man!
Thank you for helping Tyler
This is great for a person starting out soldering love this channel man
I used the dual designs for years, after settling on a strap I recessed them with a countersync, they are like the countersink version with a slight baffle or hump, so nice!!
I just noticed after 10 years, my Ovation TX has Dunlop strap lock. Blew my mind.
Awesome ! I built my own guitar with my dad. It's an HSH strat that has 3 splittable humbucker, and I had difficulties with wiring because splitting one or two is ok, but having a schema that splits 3, it's a whole other story :D Also, I installed old style humbucker (Seymour Slash signature, same wire style as the one demonstrated on soldering tip) on my epi les paul (they sound great, go for it if you hesitate), and I have to admit I did the mess you talk about with the soldering. It didn't want to stick, and I ended up adding more and more solder. In the end, I succeeded, but definitely wish I could watch this video before. Anyway, you won a new subscriber, I love your work :)
Thanks for educating me about those dang spurs on the top of the pots!
Great video! Thanks for doing these Phil.
Awesome, I know Tyler will be happy to have a new and improved Baby back!
It's a really pretty guitar man! GL Tyler!Hope you enjoy playing the all new Baby!
Years ago I installed a Tremonti pickup in the bridge and a Santana III in the neck in one of my single cuts, and it is one of my favorite pickup configurations among all of my guitars..
A lot of fun watching this .. nicely done! Frank from Boulder,Colorado
I think it's real cool, that you, You Tube guys, are all, for lack of any other way of putting it. Relating with one another. Its great, making everything feel like family. We are, after all, Loving the instrument. Here for that reason. Thank you and good night.
Phil, you did awesome. What a great job~!
Loving this series! Great fun to watch.
Nicely done Phil! I really liked what you did
You do great work sir. I wish I cloud do the same to my PRS SE Zach Meyers. At least the new pickups with coil tapping.
You are such an awesome dude. God bless you man
This is a phenomenal series of videos!
Cool concept for a video! Much gratitude fellas!! 👏
Nice .... I would suggest Autosol for the final fret polish. Yes you'll have to mask but nothing beats it. Try it and thank Ben from Crimson Guitars for that one!
That final sound check with the coil split bridge... omg... how sweet was that sound!
these videos are so awesome! Can't wait to get my first guitar I'm saving up for!
Late to the game but it's always nice to see someone who cares about their craft. Well done sir.

Great video with some good tips. I see Tyler is very happy with the upgrades. I really like the “Sharpen My Axe” series.
I just want to say I appreciate all your videos. It's nice to see someone make informed, educational videos, instead of "I think this guitar is better because I like it blah blah." I search your videos before Googling info elsewhere, as I am currently shopping mid-range guitars. Thanks, Phillip! Now, if only you had time to set up a way to email questions and/or hotline :D
Damn that’s one hell of an improvement. Awesome!
Phillip Mcknight I subscribed to your channel today and just wanted to say thank you for posting these videos I have found various videos here very helpful once again thank you.
Great job and video, I just found your channel and it is a gem!
I am a sucker for a green guitar. I think they look so cool.
Top quality! Great job. Looks and sounds great.
Viewer of the both channels for a while!!! KYG longer and now have a greater appreciation of this video and a re-watch is a more impressive even now!!!
I basically did the same thing to a PRS 25th anniversary Custom 24 last year. Except I installed vintage 59s with coil split. Paul does make great guitars. You make some great videos. Very in-depth and very professional.
Sounds better with all the improvements! Awesome job!
Great video! I have J.S. Moore custom 57/08 in neck and 59/09 in the bridge in my 2006 PRS Custom 22. Great mods here.
That split coil tone sounded amazing!
Love this vid. Older pickups definitely sweeter on my ears
This guitar turned out quite nicely. I think I like seeing you upgrade used guitars more than the new ones.
One of your best videos!
Great and very informative video! Than you Phil.
Beautiful work Phil!
Phil, first of all great job! I have a 2009 Ted McCarty double cut and always wanted to change the bridge and tuners. I already have the 57/08 pickups with taps so I am good. I'm going for it after this video but keeping all of the old parts. Again great video.
I knew it, can't wait to get off work and watch this!!
That's superb! Kind of reminds me that it's time for me to freshen up my Les Paul.
Even though it's not my guitar, it's still exciting to see a guitar getting "the treatment" like this.
Woah that Sauter job earned my sub, keep up the great work man, gonna binge some of your vids if that's okay 👀
Awesome job phillip!!
Labor of love. Phil you're the best man. I wish you give my guitar this kind of TLC
That "Helping Hands" device Philip uses to help him hold the potentiometer is definitely a great device. I have one that also has a magnifying glass attached and a small light to brighten up the area you are working in. Both the magnifying glass and the light is adjustable so you can move it to the position that best suits your needs. They are very cheap and worth having.
