You may be surprised, but for this whole Video Snake Davis was shirtless. It just seams he has a sweater, because he has been gifted with very luscious body hair.

Very original playing and very expressive. Snake brought Von Freeman to my mind. I enjoyed your playing very much! I like all genres that have saxophones. Originality is the name of the game.

Always leant more to Selmer and Yamaha, but these are some beautiful horns, fantastic playing, and great video :)

Love these interviews with sax players. It was listening to Snake Davis that got me interested in Yanagisawa saxophones and partly why I have a Yanagisawa AWO2 and love it. It just gets out the way and I feel I can make music rather than just trying to play an instrument. I have never seen a solid silver, gold plated Yani sax like Snake has. It looks amazing. I can't afford one and probably wouldn't want one, but I have wanted to play one of the solid silver Yanagisawa altos but never had the chance. Maybe one day.

Very well put together video and great playing but I would have liked for him to have played the saxophones without so much dynamic doodling as it really makes it harder to discern the subtle differences between one horn and the others. I was very exited to hear this test but was left confused by the players inability to really show the differences.

Yanagisawa is only a very small outfit. As with many manufacturers, they're still recovering from the pandemic and its knock-on effects worldwide.

You know always struggle a bit the instrument and the player. Most of what i hear is the player, that being said i feel most of the top professionals i hear playing these Yanigisawa's there is a definite improvement in my opinion. I feel same about the Selmer Supreme.I urge you to listen to as many different saxophonist's as you can these are very special instruments for top pro's or any body who comfortably afford these.

His name is actually Chris but I've been aware of him being known as Snake from his Leeds college days if not before.
