oh girl this intro aged real bad 😭😭😭
My mom was on ozempic (she's not diabetic). Yes she lost weight, she was probably the skinniest she's ever been BUT it gave her crippling anxiety. My mom has never had mental health issues and that medication almost ruined her life. Just recently she realized it was the medication causing the anxiety and depression. She is now off ozempic, has gained most of the weight back, and is happier than she's ever been.

Trish, you might want to increase your protein and lift weights. This will increase your metabolism and burn fat like crazy. It’s better than cardio. Walking burns a ton of fat too. I am 100LBS down. I eat well. My highest weight was 250lbs. I am 146lbs now at 5’10. I was seriously always hungry all the time before I started eating 1g of protein per lb of body weight. I have pcos too…so it was a struggle to lose weight before making these changes due to insulin. Eating more protein and eating lower carbs really made the difference, girl! I will share some protein powder next week for women that I would recommend that actually taste good. I’ve tried several. I would stay away from that medication unless it’s medically necessary. They say that people regain the weight once it’s stopped, so it may not be worth it. Also as we age, we lose muscle mass, so you don’t want any medication to break down muscle faster (if that is true). High protein, lower carb. I swear by it! You can look at pictures of me over here if you have doubts. I weigh in weekly and share meals. Much love to you and all the other ladies struggling with their weight. I’ve struggled since I was 11. I get what it’s like to have a food addiction. I am definitely an emotional eater. I understand how hard it is to get started and to keep going. I didn’t have any help when I lost 100lbs. I did all of my exercises in my living room. I cooked all my food and motivated myself by watching success stories on KZread. I am sharing to give other women hope. -Tonia 💖💖💖

My mom is taking a different version called Wegovy, it is the same thing as Ozempic, though. These drugs have been around since 2017 or so, known as Semaglutides which aim to control when your pancreas releases insulin, hence being prescribed to people with diabetes. Wegovy is the one that tends to be prescribed to patients experiencing "Chronic-Obesity," which is recognized as a chronic illness by many doctors and administrations. Looking at my mom - these drugs work... BUT only if you incorporate a healthy lifestyle and diet as well! These drugs have also seen success in helping people to quit smoking, curbing their appetites for nicotine; this is the same feeling many users experience, lack of appetite and fuller faster. It is also important to note that once you stop - you will MOST LIKELY gain the weight back, even if you are leading a healthy lifestyle. This is due to the control of insulin and, if you experience chronic obesity, your body will essentially work back to its “equilibrium”, causing you to pack on the pounds faster than ever, with some gaining most of it back with a single calendar year. Nothing is a quick fix. This should be a last resort, not the first thing you’re looking to try if you are attempting to lose weight. Talk to your doctor and be safe!

i’m a 22 y/o male. i just finished my second month of the common weight loss adjacent medication to Ozempic; Wegovy. i have been steadily gaining weight since beginning a series of antidepressants. and similar to you, have lost weight more than once drastically on my own, without medication. making me more comfortable because i know i will use this as a tool, but also be able to make the lifestyle change in order to keep the weight off long-term. after consulting with my doctor, she concurred with my steady weight gain and allowed me to begin treatment. the appetite suppression is sometimes extreme, often having to remind myself to eat something at least high in protein to keep me going throughout the day. as for nausea, i have never experienced nausea like this before, if you have a weak stomach, i could not possibly recommend it. but, when all else has failed, i am willing to go through with it. i have lost about 20lbs so far. i see it as the same way i see medication for mental health, being overweight is not good for my health, nor is not seeking help for my depression/anxiety. these resources are available to us to improve our health, i don’t see shame in that. love you trish ❤

I’m on Ozempic I’ve been on it since April 2022. I started it before I heard about it in the media… my doctor recommended it to me for pre-diabetes instead of metformin. I have PCOS which makes it hard to lose weight because your insulin essentially is not working. I have lost almost 60 pounds and it has changed my life. I started at about 205 pounds and I’m still considered “overweight” but I have been eating less carbs and more nutrient dense food as well as exercising everyday. It has a bad name now because people are using it just to be skinny but it is helpful and you don’t know if they might actually need to take it.

Metformin can help with weight loss too! Any obesity in the first place is often caused by problems with insulin (or even hormonal imbalances like estrogen dominance…). Also, ADHD drugs are regularly used *safely* off label for obesity/binge-eating. I was never overweight but I can testify I have zero appetite on them. They don’t need to be abused, they get a bad rep too
You could try the my fitness pal diet - tracking what you eat and staying under a certain value. Give yourself plenty of protein, some fat, and fill up with vegetables. Stay away from desserts other than the occasional once or twice a week treat. Eat dessert right after a protein based meal so that the spikes will be slower. Filling yourself up with protein and veg works every time. You will feel incredibly full and will be losing weight healthily at the same time! :)
I think a lot of people don’t realize they use food to cope with mental issues. Just like WLS, Ozempic really takes away the option to overeat. So, in turn people get depressed and anxious from taking it. Also, for people who have diabetes, pcos, Hashimoto’s, and other autoimmune issues, ozempic is a literal life saver!

The good news for me is that I also didn't have any of the other "bad" side effects either. It just did what it was originally designed to do - lower my A1c. Great conversation! I’ve been on Mounjaro since 2/6 and have lost 36 pounds. I’m 5’9” and weigh 165. It’s not an easy way out as some say. The side effects can be horrible, and you do have to watch what you eat. I keep my calories under 1200 a day, and it’s definitely a life style change. I’m so glad I decided to go on it. Best decision I ever made as I’m pre-diabetic with high blood pressure and cholesterol issues. I was also considered obese. At nearly 47, losing weight has been hard for me, especially being pre-menopausal. I just can’t lose weight the way I use to😢
It’s no different than starving yourself. The drug doesn’t make you lose weight. The not eating as much does. You can do that on your own. Either way as soon as you stop it’s going to all come back. Best to just change your habits and do it the old fashioned way so you can keep it off. It’s literally no different than a diet pill or any other hunger suppressant. None are long term permanent solutions.

this is not true. it makes you feel full faster, it slows down gastric emptying which helps with hunger and metabolism, it makes your cells use insulin better especially if you have high fat percentage since fat rejects insulin. so yes it helps you not eat as much but it also helps your body process sugars and get rid of fat especially if you have insulin resistance.

Not everyone can do it on their own, many people have obesity related genes that have been studied for years. If it was as simple as cutting calories and exercising more, nobody would be overweight. I was listening to a podcast that had a Doctor on. She said that it’s better for you if you are the type of person who over eats since you are at risk for many more diseases if you are over weight. She also said it can jump start a healthy lifestyle. I think it’s best to talk to your doctor about it and weigh the pros and cons of being overweight and risks of diseases or taking ozempic
I work with an major insurance company and so many members ask about that weight loss medication for sure.
ozempic = semaglutide for diabetics wegovy = semaglutide for weight loss
The problem with these weight loss drugs is you depend on the medication too much. You have to learn how to eat right and have discipline on your own. It's called WILL POWER. If all Ozempic really does is curb your appetite, you can do that on your own.
Weight has such a multitude of reasons. There are so many uneducated people out there who just think "oh someone is fat because they eat too much and are lazy"🙄. There are multiple genes associated with obesity, many diseases that cause obesity, poor mental health, autoimmunity, eating disorders, previous fad yoyo dieting, obeseogens etc. The weightloss industry love to tell u that purely eating less and moving more will make you lose weight but it is very difficult to maintain weight. There are statistics out there that prove many obese people won't be able to lose weight from those things alone and often need help in the form of medication or surgery. Much like the process called cachexia which happens in terminal illness you can fill the person with every calorific food in the world and they will keep wasting away. Obesity is a metabolic disease and it isnt ever as simple as a lazy couch potato. I wish people would wake up and realise there are so many reasons and to shame people for it is just morally wrong!
I saw something recently that they're testing ozempic for its potential to treat addiction. bc they think it might do something to the part of your brain that "craves." seemed a little sus imo-
I've heard sometimes a little bit of weight loss can actually help pregnancy 🤔 What if you tried it for just 90 days? I'd be super interested in your experience with that depending on what your doctor recommends of course. ❤

And then balloon the minute she stops taking it? Let’s say she does lose the weight and then she gets pregnant and gains it all back + baby weight. Now she’s at risk for so many different things to not only her but now the baby as well. 🙄
Can cause severe depression. Watch some vids by people with bad effects from it.

I also stopped one of my depression medicine because it packs on pounds. I do feel the effects of depression but being obese is way worse. I can't hardly exercise but I've been eating better and less for sure. I already had started fasting so I'm still working on that.

A lot of medications don’t mention this that should. I am on semiglutide and luckily it is working out well for me, but I was previously on Qsymia and nobody warned me about the effects on mood etc and it put me in a horribly depressed state and I had to drop it. I felt better within 24 hours of stopping.
I’ve been on a similar medication, Mounjaro. I’m not a diabetic. However, I take it for my PCOS, insulin resistance, and BED. I’ve been on it for 32 weeks & almost down 50lbs. This injection is truly life saving.
It’s horrible I was in so much pain while taking it. It does curb your appetite tho.
Im on wegovy and I do throw up sometimes and I have bad diarrhea but I gained a lot of weight during covid and being on wegovy I have lost 26 pounds in 2-3 months and I feel confident and great in my body so far I need to lose a lot more but rn I'm feeling great
I was 204, now I’m 182. All I did was drink more water, get good sleep, cut out sugar, lower carbs, fast 18-20 daily, and exercise 5 times a week.
I’m wondering why my mom is not on this or has even been suggested it she’s diabetic and over weight she’s 68 and I worry about her so much
Kanye west did say Kim 💩more then what’s normal…. Anyone remember that 🤔?
Slow down in talking! Way to fast..
I love that you were talking about unconventionally attractive women/men/nonbinary being larger or “fat” being still beautiful!
I’m on trulicity 7 weeks and down about 20 lbs. I was hoping I’d lose weight faster but it’s working great no side effects at least

I actually enjoyed hearing your perspective on this Trish. What stood out to me was that even skinny people want an even tinier waste line. And I also think it’s a really healthy attitude to just want to be healthy because it’s better at any weight than being sick.
Trisha u rly should get the app
not to mention it’s causing shortages for people WHO ACTUALLY HAVE DIABETES
Ozempic is for diabetics, but they do have similar medications for overweight people who want to lose weight. I think one is called Wegovy. I'm currently on ozempic for diabetes. I've lost about 30lbs in about 2 months, but it has also helped decrease my A1C. It really does have some strong side effects. It definitely decreases your appetite by making it so your stomach empties slower. Some side effects I've had include constipation, constant nausea, and vomiting. Like if you overeat just a little bit, like projectile vomiting less than 5 minutes after. We had also increased my dose from 0.5 to 1mg and was vomiting so intensely that I had to be rushed to the ER because I was in intense pain, couldn't stop vomiting, and was dehydrated. I've also seen some other KZreadrs talk about Ozempic making them have intense panic attacks, depression, or other mental health problems. I haven't experienced that, but it definitely has been a tough medication to be on. For anyone looking to get on it, please check out the side effects, only take Ozempic if you're diabetic (as people who aren't and should be taking Wegovy instead have made it hard for us to get access), and listen to your body and your doctor.
Girl, the Kardashians are cool sculpted all to hell. They killed their fat cells like you did with lipo in some areas. They don’t work as hard as you think. When Kim was advertising for Oura ring her heart rate did not reflect that of a person that works out as much as she portrays.
I used yo not be able to gain anything. Stayed at consistent 115 lbs. But i hit 33 & ive gained 20lbs in just a few months. I think it catches up with you the older you get. Your metabolism isnt as high as when youre younger.

you might want to check if you’ve become insulin resistant. it can cause nonstop weight gain if it isn’t reversed.
There is no easy way to loose weight and people that take the shot reports feeling sick or bad cramps and sh!t@ so for me it;s not worth it.
On Manifesting Weight Loss : In my experience I was energetically blocked from losing weight until I raised my vibration to an authentic form of self love. This looked like quitting bad habits, changing toxic behaviors and being honest with myself about how I truly feel. The weight came off as soon as I started listening to myself . You have to follow the inner nudging of your Soul to get your body to listen to you and conform to your desire. Being overweight is a result of lack of self love. If you do the things you are always telling yourself you “should” do this will increase the value you feel for yourself . The more valuable you feel the more self love you have. With increased self love you will get a download telling you exactly what to do ti lose the weight effortlessly. The subconscious way we feel about ourselves is what creates blocks in this area.. We are all subconsciously judging our own patterns of behavior. So if their are any pattens we feel are negative then it’s time to stop doing them.❤
Did you literally just copy Jaime Frenchs video? lmao...
Love you Trisha and this is No shade but you need to educate yourself on food … you can’t out exercise a bad diet or consuming to many cals in …. You eat to much You gain you eat too little you lose … it’s no more complicated than that but you need support and good education from both nutrition and mind set … if you have inj that won’t work if you don’t know what’s what with food and mind set Pay for education and get the right support then you have it for a lifetime. Know a great coach and she’d help you !! ❤❤❤
Ohhh wow... This is a little wild to watch after the exposé of that rat, COLleen Ballinger 😂
You might want to stop going to Starbucks or other fast food places all the time. A lot of calories right there and no nutritional value. You know how to lose weight, you just don't want to to give up your fatty foods.
I got prescribed Ozempic, but my insurance didn’t cover it

Same! It actually bothers me when people call me skinny because I don’t feel skinny when I see myself
Firstly, I think you’re so beautiful and you give me so much confidence when I feel bad and I think of the confident energy you exude! Secondly, I hate that you can’t talk about your personal body goals without having people come and police your thoughts and language 😢 if you don’t want to be “fat” then I wish people would stop getting in their feelings about it. So you want to be skinny, that should be no one business but your own. Sorry you have to deal with the judgments.
The people taking it without needing it makes me sick.

This. I needed it for my insulin and couldn’t get it and was put onto Wegovy instead, which funny enough is pretty much the same medication but aimed toward weight loss instead. There is no reason why these people can’t be taking the other options like Wegovy for their weight loss instead of taking Ozempic from the people who really need it.
I was struggling with infertility for years and could not get access to IVF because of my weight, so my endocrinologist gave me ozempic. I was only on it for 3 months before finding out we were pregnant. Yes I was concerned with the impacts of ozempic on my baby, but she is 11 months now and healthy and happy. We want to try for another baby, and I’m considering going back on ozempic again.
I was on ozempic for three weeks. I’m in that group where I got a ton of side effects. The first week only took one day to recoup from the shot and I was good, I learned my portions were too big and it was very uncomfortable when you over eat… Makes you want to puke…. So I believe it actually makes people eat way less than needed. Second week I shot myself in the tummy and I was sick for about 3-4 days… puking, vertigo, number 2 issues… i couldn’t keep down my bipolar meds and I ended up getting zolfran to help. Third week I shot myself, I wanted to die for over a week….. and since then, I got my Apple Watch and I work out for 2.5 hours a day , I eat correctly and I stay around 1800 calories a day. I am dropping weight and my skin isn’t becoming all lose because I’m not losing the weight too fast. Plus this weight will stay off!!!
ozempic are for people who need it not people who have eating disorders and struggle loosing weight you are taking it from those who truly need it instead of doing a quick fix figure out the root to why you binge eat and work on healing that

@@davidkosir828 it slows down the digestion process. That’s all. If you can do it a healthier way that doesn’t have you rely on a shot for proper human function that will have sad effects in the long wrong. But I’ve never tried it I’ve heard many negative testimonies from ppl with diabetes who get su*cidal thoughts and if you have other health issues it will tear you apart. Like rip you a new one with the stomach acids and the diarrhea. It’s like anything you take will have a side effect and if it’s worth it to you to be reliant on anything other than yourself I just worry on your deathbed if you’ll find peace in that. You being anyone in life.
I see the difference in how I’m treated in public.
It’s not the whole world that’s fatphobic. Some people praise and love chubby or fat women. It’s also a sign of wealth to be chubby.
trish your so real please never die ily
I’m on Wegovy for pcos and insulin resistance. This shot is a boost in my weight loss journey (140 pounds lost on my own no pills or surgeries). So far I’m down 23 pounds on Wegovy in 6 weeks. No real worrisome side effects. I hope I’ll be able to ovulate finally and conceive again, maybe.
why is drive-through voice different to regular voice??
Just to balance out the comments detailing large weight loss - I've been on Ozempic for four years now due to being a type 2 diabetic and it didn't result in any weight loss for me. What it did do was lower my A1c significantly - for which I'm grateful! I'm also grateful that I don't have "Ozempic face" or depression or any of the other "bad" side effects of the drug. My point is - drugs affect everyone differently - so folks should talk to their doctor and should go into any decision with realistic expectations. It may not work for you like it does for those who have had significant weight loss. I'm not going to shame anyone for their medical decisions - but I had to go two months without Ozempic due to the new craze and my A1c raised a lot without any changes in my lifestyle. So for me it was a hard period of time. I now have my regular dosage again, and my A1c has dropped again (but again, didn't lose any weight going back on it). Just wanted to share so folks know another side.
