Being born into Islam provides its own challenges as Shaitan also attacks from the front. In some countries, being raised muslim came with a lot of misinformation due to cultural beliefs and practices. Alhamdulillah, a lot of us have had to unlearn and re-learn thanks to the Guidance of Allah SWT. Reverts like brother Amir and Mutah help us too. As Mutah said, we all need reminders. For those who have lost their way, may they find their way back to Allah and may He make it easy for us all, ameen.

Asalamalaykum. Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. @@thehourglassfan3515 me I don’t think it’s haram, the halal and haram come from Allah, and I see no where in Quran forbidden it, nor in the hadith, no real authentic hadith forbid the instrument of music in itself. But the music industry, living that lifestyle is clearly haram for me, since how corrupted this industry is NOT because the instrument in itself.

@_ ( i.e music ) HOW in the world speach and instrument music is the same... i know this verse, and except twisting the verse it has nothing to do with instruments. Btw singing, just singing poetry is haram now ? didnt we have singing of poetry in our tradition ? btw if music instrument was haram, WHY there only one music instruement permissible ? where's the logic behind that ? why only one ARABIC instrument if permissible until the Hour... What the verse is talking about is word THAT MISGUIDE... where do you see music instruments in it ? since when music instruemnts ''talks" ? For the hadith u stated, our sources says that the hadith is not connected to the prophet, look into that hadith deeper you'll see, and it says Ibn Hazm rejects it, he's very strict with hadith, was Ibn hazm crazy ? so we have no clear verse and one hadith that have a missing link.. so what do we do ? how can we say this is haram until the Last Day ? haram must clear, just as Halal must be. for this same hadith check this out: Muqaddimah Ibnus Salah, & Fathul Bari, Hadith: 5590) 2. Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) writes that Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) deemed this Hadith as acceptable. So we can see for bukhari HIMSELF says that hadith is acceptable, he didnt say sahih 100% he said acceptable, so we will UNTIL the last day make haram a thing that judged '' acceptable'' not SAHIH to the whole oummah ?
