There's a mistake in the amount I mentioned in the video, It's only $66 for OPT STEM extension and $410 you would be paying for USCIS. In total you would be paying $476.

I have received admit for MS CS and selected Course track, Can I extend my course duration from 1.5 year to 2 year by taking subject? And How many subjects I have to take ?

Hi, I got i20 from UB MSCS for fall 2024 and my course is for 1.5 yrs. But i20 shows that my course expiration date is June 2026. So when does my unemployment period begins. Thank you. (would be helpful if a video is made as lot of them are having this doubt)

That date given on I20 is the date till you can extend your master's but the course is only for 1.5 yrs and your EAD unemployment periods starts after 3 semesters.

Also if one completes his masters in 1.5 yr and he is not able to find job within 3 months,what are the other options? Can one stay till 2 yr as mentioned in I20?

I didnt understand the 132$ stem extension fees. I graduated from UB in Dec 2023. I applied for OPT Post completion I 20 by paying 66$. Then USCIS fees of 440 for EAD. But i can't recollect paying 132$ fees.

I guess you are true, I checked my college website they mentioned $132. I checked my bank statements too I just paid $66 and $410. But I will verify and update again. Thank you for recognizing it.

You had the option to choose your subjects previously so it was manageable. Now you have a fixed set of subjects and a compulsion to complete it so it depends on students and faculty.
