Thanks Laura! I’m going to try the larger sections. I see your point about changing the colors in your tray can be a time suck. I have also worked with multiple trays out - which - albeit never a catastrophe, but I have dumped the tray in the wrong container before - and it’s ALWAYS 2 colors that are a shade apart 😠🤣

Oh I've definitely done that before!
Very helpful video. I just started multiplacing this week after many failed attempts. I have a section of massive color blocking that forced me to try again, and it worked. I did upgrade my tray and pen, which helped. The whole shaking of the tray, however, is its own skill set. I’m getting there. I want to work faster because my stash exceeds my life expectancy at this rate. LOL. 😂

Thanks Susan!
Great video I am definitely going to try useing the multi placer rather than keep changing my pen
Thank you for tips Laura!
Good video today Laura. I have moved to a 7 placer which seems to be the top # I like. I too use a smaller (4) placer on heavier confetti sections and also use my multi-placer even for singles a lot of the time. Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers
such a great video!
I just started using a 5 placer like i was using my 4 placer. Game changer. My goal is to use a 12 placer like Katie does, one for everything. This video is very helpful and supportive. Hate confetti, but appreciate it.

Thanks Alina! Good luck with your 12 placer goal!
Well said! ❣
Multiplacing just like any skill takes practice. I used to dread it but now I can do it pretty effortlessly and I use a 10 placer. I started putting drills really slowly without worrying about going fast or finising a section. 1 First figure out how you like to place vertically or horizontally. Next, if what works for you is placing them all from the top or start by putting the first drill in the beginning of the line and place the drills from there. Take the care to do it slowly. After a few days with pacience you'll see that they start to line up neatly. Something that works for me is lining the new drill lined up with the bottom square in the line next to it (I place vertically most) another tip is place one square on the end of the line. Imagine you have 5 squares like this ***** place a square here ****o and place the other 4 using that one as a stopper so that they line perfectly. 😊 For round drills I found that if you place all 10 drills at once in the canvas they will be too close to eachother and you'll have space left. In rounds I rock my pen foward. The longer the line the slower you rock it and you'll see they will line up neatly on top of the circles.

Great tips, thank for sharing Ricardo!
Great video friend, and some great tips in there. I'm someone who just can't work on large sections. I've tried, and they always intimidate me. 🤣. I either work on small sections (for confetti heavy kits), or perhaps medium sized (when there's lots of colour blocking). That said, I do see the benefit to a larger section in terms of the fact that one needs to change out colours less. But mentally, I'm not ready for larger sections. As for double sided adhesive, don't even mention those words in my presence. 😂. Absolutely awful stuff! One thing that I don't have, and that I need to add to my accessory collection, is a good putty. To this day, I still continue to use the standard red wax that comes in the kits. Generally I'm fine with it, but I can see the value in using a putty that would last a little longer in my pen. Sending hugs.

Thanks Kim! Double sided adhesive is a big yikes! I could never see another kit with it and that would still be too soon 🤣
Please share which putty to use, Laura. Oh, and larger sections are a game changer! Just tried it this morning. Thank you for that tip!!! Seems obvious but I never thought about it before you posted this. Funny what our brains just don't pick up on.💜🧚🏼♀️💜 PS I'm not after speed but being more efficient just feels good.

My putty should arrive today. I went with NYX's Notions. @@diamondpaintingsbylaura
Would you be willing to share which putty is working the best for you right now? I am always in search of the "perfect putty"- on that lasts for a long time and is not stringy.

I do not. I have a drafting table, but I'm not a fan of working at an angle.

Does it matter how long a diamond painting takes?

It does not! Which I did reiterate multiple times in the video. I have been asked a number of times if I could talk about how I personally am able to finish 2-3 kits a month. These are things that work for me, but may not for others and that’s totally fine!
