hi bill. you can replace the small pipe betwinn the 2 45 degress corner fittings with a longer pipe to get the hight you need.

Since you will be turning the compressor round, maybe elongate the plate bolt holes with a file so the motor is nearer the pipe :-)

that tube is usually bent away from pump before getting bent towards it to give you more lengh going towards pump

I'm afraid, that the inverter stays in current limit too long. If the motor isn't up to speed by the time the bleed valve closes, the generator may not have enough current to drive the compressor into the tank, if the tank is pressurized. The generator inverter struggles to get the compressor started, even with the compressor completely unloaded! The inrush current on a single phase capacitor start/capacitor run motor is tough to supply. It can be 4X the running current, or even more.

Did u get a new compressor for the garage then for doing the water line in the cemetery

yep.. That replaced this one.. i gave it away and he just stored it and sort of messed it up.. now im waiting for a new pressure switch

I would not leave it plumbed up as you show in the video. If you shut off that ball valve on the left side, your compressor pumps output will be blocked, it won't have anywhere for the compressed air to go. You may damage the pump and/or motor that way. It really should be plumbed into that center hole in the tank. You need a section of soft copper pipe where you can bend the proper tube. Having the air go into the tank first will help collect moisture before it sends it out the line.

And that is the way it is suppose to be plumbed. The who ever was he was fixing it the way it should be lol You can take a ridged piece of copper pipe and heat it good and hot where you want to bend it then quench it and it will be soft in that area. I can't believe you are going to screw it up and reverse everything I thought you knew better that that.LOL

Hey Bill was it at one time you bought a compressor to work off the PTO? Seems like I remember that been years ago for sure.

why not use soft copper tubing and compression fittings..makes sense to me...

if you change to the gasoline powered air compressor un loader , the pump stops building pressure but the motor does not shut off , this is much easier on your gen set on start up

Interesting. Im looking to run a 1.5 ish 220 off my 7500 and it runs it fine but im looking to run a plasma also and ill be right at my limit. Your idea would keep the motor running so no surge while cutting

Billstmaxx, did you know planes don't have mufflers, just exhaust pipe. Looks like you got a lady motor, two bumps on the top.

One "bump" is the electrolytic start capacitor, the other, the motor run capacitor. These motors have a lot of starting torque, but they need a lot of inrush current, until its up to speed.

Be careful Bill. I noticed the overload light is illuminating every time you start the compressor motor. That generator can easily run the motor in steady state but its the START current that is exceeding the capacity of the generator. You have to be careful with the Honda inverter generators. Exceeding the capacity can damage the inverter and a replacement costs around $800 US.

If your friend wired up the motor with the wrong polarity maybe the motor was turning the wrong way so that the compressor was turning backwards and he turned everything around so that it would compress the air rather than blowing the air?

Couldn't even rip a plastic bag Open 😂. Also the same Sony flipscreen camera he holds with mouth. After touching metal and stuff 🤣🤣eewwwwwww

u need to have the unloader valve in the main feed from the compressor u SHOULD NOT PIPE THE COMMPRESSOR DIRECTLY INTO THE TANK it make the motor hard to start having the full tank pressure against the pump

there is a screw in one way valve that the pressure switch dumps the air out of when it shuts off

No earl in the sight glass need to fill er up
