So! Here’s my rambling as I draw a krampus girl I drew last year! And also going over some various sources for krampus’s origin in mythology. Though one thing you learn about mythology no matter where it comes from, is that it’s a jumbled mess sometimes but that’s okay. I personally favor the perchtenlauf origin and connections tied to alpine regions pagan folklore given a lot of times pagan traditions were incorporated into more modern day religions. Easter, Halloween, and Christmas being a couple examples. Putting up a Christmas tree is a pagan tradition, and so is the mistletoe! The more you learn kiddos! People just sometimes don’t credit paganism because there are so many misconceptions about it. Wicca is more modern paganism and as a Wiccan myself I do my best to educate ! We do not worship satan nor do we believe in satan. Stop saying that, thank you!
