Not the worst replacement but Jann was the one the crowd clearly wanted as they cheered him. You could tell a manipulation was going on from the fact that the televote wasn't even revealed and the Jury had the final say in the event of a tie. In spite of all of this, I still wish Blanka all the best. She's going to NEED it!

you have no idea how us polish eurofans are tired of tvp robbing us of great songs :( they changed the rules few days ago saying that the voting system counts 50% jury opinion and 50% televoting, it was weird and now we all know why, they gave blanka 12 points from jury, jann got 7pts.... and jann won televoting but they promoted Solo so hard on TVP that it did not matter that Jann won televoting cause blanka was second and she won this way. we will never get a top 10 hit when they get to choose a song for us cause they are homophobic and talentphobic...

public choose jann, everyone was cheering for him on the crowd. and juries put him on 4th place because they knew very well that he's gonna win the televote. also they changed the voting rules like 4 days before the preselections. ALSO, blanka's choreographer was in polish jury AND edyta gorniak son is friends with blanka and edyta was also in polish jury. that's just simply not fair, to us, polish fans. i hope anyone from ebu will verify this 'cause it's hard to believe it's a coincidence...

Feels like Iceland in the Eurovision film all over again. Throw the contest because it costs too much and feels frivolous..

Blanka won beacuse of jury. In the begging of the show they said that they want something original, meanwhile they gave 12 points to most generic pop song in this contest. They put Jann on 4th place beacuse it isn't very low place but there's almost no chance to win with 7 points from jury. So just like always TVP controls everything...

Pięknie, robimy z siebie pośmiewisko, tzn Blanka robi z nas łącznie z tvp, a wystarczyło wybrać Janna i byłoby wspaniale.

I'm absolutely infuriated with the results. The jury absolutely killed any chances for gladiator to win this. I know that his vocals weren't prefect but neither were Blankas. But the vocals can be prefected, andd a song not so much 😭😭

Honestly it’s janns own fault he didn’t perform well, if only he sang more like in studio version than he’d have chances and if moving around cost him the vocals then he should have toned it down a little. Honestly it felt at one point like he wasn’t trying at all

Toy and Goy described it as a rich 16yo girl whose daddy paid for her to record a song and perform it for her friends at her birthday party 😂😂😂😂

I mean, Jann would've had time to improve too is he got selected. Even judging by all performances Jann was the one oozing charisma and personality, meanwhile Blanka singing the most generic boring summer radio song and overall leading mediocricity parade. Something very sketchy going on with polish broadcaster and I don't approve it.

I love Blanka's Solo .Unfortunately, I am really mad that Blanka won due to the juries purposely messing with the votes (basically rigging) to make sure that Blanka will win. I'm pretty sure that TVP knew that Jann would win the televotes and purposely placed it low in the jury votes. Straight after the juries announced Jann being 4th place for them , the Polish crowd boo-ed the juries. It doesn't help that TVP released a post that Blanka was the winner before the votes ,before the final show which does not look great. (EDIT) It was confirmed that 2 of the juries knew Blanka, one being her choreographer and the second being Edyta Gorniak. Although, Jann did seem a bit nervous and overwhelmed with emotions live on stage and it doesn't help that the background music and backing vocal were louder than his voice which together made his vocal seem quite off. Re-listening to Jann's performance ,the vocals do seem to sound better than it appears the first time round. I have seen Jann's other performances live which did sound vocal wise good . Also, Polish fans are demanding for the change with hashtag justiceforJann. Anyways thank you for the reaction like always ♥✨🥰

so to sum up, several jurers being related to the winner, voting rules being meddled with a few days prior to finals AND leaked results before the public voting commenced? this is more that enough to involve EBU for an investigation and potential disqualification

The MAIN reasons Polish people 'hate' Blanka's song. We aren't hating on the singer! (sorry for mistakes in english) 1. The first main reason for that is the fact of who was a part of the Jury; Edyta Górniak and most of the old men that are probably homophobic, xenophobic, etc. EUROVISION SONG CONTEST IS ALWAYS PROMOTING THE RIGHTS OF LGBTQ+ AND UNIQUE PEOPLE? SO WHY THEY ALLOW THIS?! IT'S NOT POLISH PROPLE CHOICE IT'S OUR COMMUNISTIC GOVERNMENT DISGUSTING CHOICE! they really hate the personality of a man like Jann, that wears crop top, beautiful clothes and moves sensually. Their votes for sure weren't professional as they described themselves. Most of them probably loved the young girls in short skirts, what is so disgusting. The discrimination towards men is a huge problem. As we know Jann's style is unique but their minds are still far away, stucked in 1950's. To be honest most of us don't even have a clue who were the rest of Jury. I know only Edyta from The Voice of Poland and Agustin from a talent show. 2. The sudden change to voting system. Excuse me, but who is changing the voting the sad three days before the show? The most shocking and disappointing here is the fact that they did the change during Jann's popularity growth, when almost all journalists started to call him the favourite to win the preselections. Was they scared that Jann is going to win? What was the reason of that sudden change? The most interesting question? Just why?! The change made the televotes less worthy and isn't that so weird now? 3. THE WEIRD OLD VOTING POINTS They made really weird system. 12 points both from Jury and Public. But when there's a dead-heat the Jury decides?? The old-fashioned people? It's obvious that they won't like 'modern' songs and true art like the public. Sorry but how is that supposed to satisfy all the people that are around 15-30 yo when the Jury's average age is 50? THE WORSE IS THAT we couldn't really see our voting results in % or normal points? They just made a rank for the votes? Like the first place of votes is for you and the second place of votes for him? Doesn't it sound ridiculous and old-fashioned? So we aren't able to see our voting from our own money? 4. Majority of the public were Jann's fans and you can even hear the screams during his performance that he was loved indeed. Imagine thousands of people loosing their money for voting while the show was all set up from the beginning and they just scammed us over money with absolutely zero respect. 5. The promoting of Blanka is ridiculous. She was everywhere over Polish social medias. Her song with which she has won was playing in the radio almost everyday all the time. It's suspectable since she appeared on Polish music stage out of nothing and suddenly she had all these friendships with Polish Television's figures. Especially Blanka was noticed to have an interesting relationship with Edyta Górniak's - the main jury - son. Truly interesting. Her choreography was also set by one of the Jury! 6. She was noticed to sit with one of Jury's son? But what was he doing there among the candidates?

An article was released from TVP about Blankas victory 2 hours before the nf even started…

OBVIOUSLY they’re gonna rig it in her favour. To add fuel to the flame, Jann received 66% of the televote while Blanka only received 6%

Yeah his vocal stability wasn't that great but that's understandable. He was moving and dancing, and obviously as a new artist he didn't have that much experience so I think all of it could be definitely easily fixed before an actual Eurovision. Also camerawork was quite messy (which wasn't his fault) and he didn't have anyone but himself, no dancers etc so he should be applauded for the show he created on his own. He truly deserved to win but obviously Polish corrupt tv doesn't care about Polish people and their wishes.

I live in Poland. Some shady business going on. Indeed, like she was like too close to Tv channel was even at the list of singers for new year party. Well she is not even famous. I was wondering why. They robbed Jann. Jury gave 12 pts to her and Jann got only 7. He was robbed big. That sucks as it's tax fund TV channel. Polish people angry to this.

@@patricia_tx we're having issues here with the goverment TV channel. TVP is state funded channel, it's almost like goverment decision at this point. I'm also half Turkish. God I swear, I'm done with state funded TVs and drama with their Eurovision decisions :(

What's the point on making competition if they are going to choose their favourites AGAIN AND AGAIN. JANN WAS ROBBED by TVP and Warner Bros.

Many Poles are also disappointed today...

Gladiator DOES have the star quality, the breathinnes is a GOOD thing in his style, on top of this the performance had plenty of emotion and this emotion was expressed through certain tones or purposeful voice cracks. HE EVEN MANAGED TO SING WHILST LAUGHING, this is how stage performance should be. We were robbed.

The jury somehow ranked this as their number 1, despite her vocals being god awful... and apparently there someone from the jury is associated with Blanka, so we suspect it was rigged from the start... the ballad "jury bait" Alicja was 6th with the jury... nothing made sense!

Luckily her winner performance sounded better than her actual competition performance. I had told my roommate that the vocal was bad and then they thought I was lying to them because they watched the winner performance with me so I had to go back and show her entry 😂😂😂

I won't comment too much on jury conspiracy/corruption but I will say regardless of the songs that won, it's been disappointing to see both Lithuania and Poland choose to have systems with ties being broken by jury in the year that the ESC semifinals become televote-only again. Really hope all national finals use televote as the tiebreaker in future.

Yo, the national tv webpage posted an article about her victory at 3:33 PM, the competition started at 5:30 PM... I know you can write drafts to be posted later in case specific artist wins but that's sus af.

So Jann was a huge fan fav with the public. Fans were screaming whem his song begun but jury's dragged it down. I can see why cuz his vocals weren't that good but like... neither were Blanca's yet they let her win. So not to be hateful but it did seem a bit rigged. The coreographer of this song was on the jury, the rules that helped Blanca win were put into place right after Jann became a fan favourite and televote wasn't fully revealed. Also her song was written by the same people who write their JESC songs. It all just seems a bit... off.

Also, Solo is like super super basic to sing, and she still botched it. Jann missed some notes and had breathing issues, but his song was extremely challenging vocally.

on account Maciej Słonina he added a video of Jann performance recorded with a smartphone and then compare to the official performance. Difference is there. How it is possible that on phone he sounds so much better then in tv with a equimpent worth thousands 😅 and more he can improve and probbably a lot. Blanka had several performences already in tv etc and she didnt improve at all. Still sounds like person who just cant sing, I sound almost like her when singing, breaking voice etc. Check out her singing flowers by mile cyrus this is butchered 🤣

Unfortunately, TVP showed Jann's chaotic choreography, which was not the case at all. the video from the fan's phone has better sound than the sound from TVP. Jann is not short of breath there, and there is no falsehood. TVP showed Janna from the wrong side. More than 18,000 people voted for Jann, only about 6,000 for Blank. We were robbed another year, go ahead and watch whole performance of Jann and u will see what am I talking about. He got low rating from jury by performance bcs of how he looked. Sad we have TVP as main broadcaster and we can't do nothing about it.

It seems that Poland has such a television regime that it would be better if Russia took part in Eurovision instead of us! 😒 BTW I like Blanka song still, but Jann was something else, still hoping that Blanka will do well on Eurovision, she can be something like "Ariana Grande" of Europe, considering this national final performance! 😃

@noosh101 you should listen to the viewer recorded version. His (Jann) voice sounds better than on TV. I suspect that they deliberately tinkered with it so that Blanka had a better chance of winning.

Bear in mind that these qualifications were in the prime time on the main national TV station, most people watching aren't some hardcore fans, just a random people and those random people would probably hear only one song beforehand, "Solo". I listen to radio no more than 45 minutes a day and even I hear this song everyday. This song is everywhere, it's been on charts of most played songs in radio. And it's not a bad song, fun, jumpy, people like that, performance today was bad, but so was Jann's performance, and as much as y'all might love this song, it's not an everyday bop, I might be wrong, but I don't thing that average Kowalski will be singing "Gladiator" to himself while doing dishes or whatnot, "I'm better solo, solo, I never let me down, dididowndowndown" on the other hand will be chanted all the time. :D

I'll say one more thing, jury voting should be ditched, not only in Poland, but generally. Eurovision is and has been for a long time people's contest and people's vote should be the only vote that counts. We'd get even more invested and there wouldn't be any talking about juries favouring someone or manipulating voting. Also, look at our jury and tell me Jann had any chance even if he sang perfectly, because grandma Górniak and grandpa Sierock are surely fans of such songs. ;)

Apparently, They rigged the national final, so Blanka can win. They promoted her before the event, and they allegedly made a post about her winning, two hours before the show started.

Blanka was chosen by the government. Jann was chosen by Poles.

We - Polish fans of the Eurovision Song Contest - have every reason to think that the jury voting in the Polish National Final, due to which the song Solo won, has been manipulated. The voting system has been changed in favour of the jury only 4 days before the National Final. Up till now we haven't received the detailed voting of the Polish juries and the SMS voting. Polish broadcaster TVP does not react to our petitions regarding transparency of the voting. Moreover, one of the jurors has professional connection with the National Final's winner. Additionally, the jury chef indicated in numerous interviews and comments that she did not know exactly, how the voting worked. We have many more arguments showing that the jury voting was manipulated. In this context we demand the cancelling of the jury voting in Poland and accepting the public voting as the official result or withdrawing from this year's Contest. #escjusticeforpoland #ShowUsTheVotes
