Hi from Greece! This version sounds more Greek and authentic to my ears than the original one. Makes me happy. You two are both so sweet and accurate on your analysis. I ve seen many. Maria , Norway's entry in 2005 i think (love is all over me) is one of our -me and my husband's, who hates Eurovision, most favorite. It opened the way for Lordi. You are,absolutely right. Miss Satti is half from Greece and half from Sudan. Born and raised in Greece, she uses traditional Greek music mixed-up with hi-hop etc, but she also made tradtional East Afrian and Arabic music (e.g.Habib Galbi) known to us. She is a real artist and it is very funny and extraordinary that she is send to the Euroision song contest! Salute from Athens!

Τhis is Greece, but not only Greece, its a multycultural song that brings closer people from Balcans and Middle East to Greece! The instruments are traditional Greek but not only greek also! The eastern oriental dance of Marina is called "Tsifteteli" and greek women love to dance in home parties or nights out! I think in Malmoe we ll see more of it (some things are still hidden)

Well as a 90s Greek kid as I know from myself and by other kids/friends in my age, what you see in this video is more like a childhood for many Greek kids. Family gatherings use to be a THING in Greece, it still is but it’s a bit different maybe because we either grew up and we see the world differently or maybe because the world has changed a little too but anyways that’s not the point. The point is that Marina represents Greece exactly the way it is, of course the good side because like everything in this world it has a bad side do but I don’t think Eurovision is the right place to talk about it…so really beautifully Marina has made it she woke up some nostalgia and also I think she proved that our generation actually can be really creative too. ✨🥹💗
