This song is fantastic! It actually made me a Galant fan. I highly recommend checking out their other songs as well.

Well as someone who loves minimal that's just my tune ! Not a ESC song but i don't care i just heard a new band i actually like, so thanks for that !

I love it, too. It has such a great playful 80ies vibe. And actually, cat videos are very successful worldwide. So, Germany should really send this! But somehow we Germans think, foreigners don't like songs in German language, so we will send some generic pop in English language with a berating moral message nobody wants to hear, as we normally do.

Ah, that Would be a shame, I think many europeans like the Herman language and Would love to see it in ESC. Especially within your own unique genre, that is worth a lot!

I had the same reaction when I heard it the first time. It also has a great double meaning. She could be singing about an evil cat or an aloof person who dislikes everyone. I hope we’ll send it to the ESC

I hope galant katze goes through to the grand final preference so this is my top 😁one or maybe 2 so this is my disition so I hope she goes through and this will be my play list and I’m happy and my top one is Isaak or maybe this one from geoff

This was the only song I really really liked in this selection. I listened the other entries and nothing grab my attention, though some are fine. Maybe Katze would never stand out at Eurovision, but why not? ZalaGasper from Slovenia had a great result some years ago.

Germany could go with this trash song ....if they want a "joke song" - why not - but this song is not for me and my taste. I stay with Bodine Monet or Ryk.

The song is only superficially about cats - there is a deeper message behind it. The message behind the song "Katze" only reveals itself on closer listening. Galant uses the cat to describe the behaviour of people after traumatic experiences: they distance themselves more and more from their true nature and become increasingly aloof and distant out of self-protection. The cat symbolises a person who has completely lost themselves over the years.
