It was an Italian jury no other Italian ESC fan knew about. I think they did exactly like you suggested but Baby Lasagna could actually get recognition and success here in Italy, too. He really made this song for his own album, not even for Dora or Eurovision, he was a backup and flew in when someone left the spot open and now we have this, he thought of this in his bedroom amd fully did it with his fsmily and friends, the country or politics or any other influences didnt had anything to do with it for him to invemt this song

Incompetent jury of Croatian Radio & Television did not want Baby Lasagna at Dora at all. He entered the competition as a reserve, because someone else dropped out. The song is about young people leaving their home (immigrating to other countries; 400,000 in 10 years) in search of a better life, and anxiety it creates. Yet, the song is litehearted. It was written, and produced solely by Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) in his room in Umag, small town, Croatia. First time performing as a singer on a big stage, Marko did great; people of Croatia reacted and gave him the greatest margin of victory ever. With big stage and some improvements, it’s a definite contender. Eurovision song, here we come, Rim Tim Tagi Dim!
