    Complaining the whole time about VATSIM. Take care not to get a heart attack. Before getting so angry - why don't leave VATSIM and fly without it? If You're a real pilot with that temper I don't wanna fly with You! 🤣

    @@A330Driver Sure, the ATC volume was so low that I didn't hear all of the communications the first time. However, it is not the controllers' fault that the airspace is crowded. You have a pretty hostile attitude towards controllers in general which I find disappointing. Not everyone does this stuff for a living.

    @1:40:20 You can clearly hear him say left A, D1, stand 51. You didnt follow taxi instructions or parking in the correct stand. Then proceed to complain about a pushback when you could easily make a 180 turn. Stop the temper tantrums and take accountability for your ineptness

    2:52:56 This is a known issue across all Blacksquare aircraft and it's caused by the weather radar gauge and/or the underlying failure system. There are a few threads about it on the Justflight Forum, unfortunately it has never been fixed. Next time this happens try cycling off/on the radar.

    Thanks! Never had it before on one of their aircraft and I flew them a lot, including a three hour flight on the TBM just the day before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention however, next time it happens I'll cycle the radar straight away!

    That's interesting stall behavior. I can understand the yaw tendency in a power-on stall, (greatest p-factor to counteract), but it should not have spun in a power-off stall even if your rudder input was minimal (certainly not to that degree). Also, I'd add if you performed those maneuvers with 5 passengers aboard there would be some very upset/nauseous people in the back lol.

    Hi Emanuel, super fun video, thanks! You don’t find flying the gtn with outdated database to be a problem?

  • @A330Driver

    You'd be surprised how many general aviation pilots fly with outdated databases. A database update can easily cost several hundrets bucks, not every private owner is willing to pay that every 28 days. Especially not if they move their aircraft only ever so often.

    You're right that's it's inefficient operations but isn't that one controller controlling 2 runways and also ground ? I mean it has to be tough and you can't expect vatsim controllers to be as efficient as real life ones surely

    Interesting all that VFR routing information on the charts. I've never seen anything like that on the Navigraph charts here in the states. Wonder if that is because we just don't; do that here, or its a deficiency of Navigraph?

    Great vid! While the TBM landing lights are not spotlights I think the model is missing a tad of frontal illumination because you landed in a pitch black runway, the centerline should be dimly lit by the plane lights.

    To be fair, I forgot to switch them on in first place. But yeah, even after I turned them on I do agree a bit more light would be nice. On the other hands side though, when I flew the C172 night VFR I often could hardly see anything as well. Those landing lights are really more of a feature to be seen rather than to see anything yourself.

    usually enjoy your content but im afraid this was a bit cringe to watch with all the ranting about vatsim as your a real world pilot i would expect a more professional attitude towards things not going your way if it was bothering you that much to the point of frustration you seemed to be at you should have just continued the flight offline apart from that i enjoyed the stream maybe do less vatsim flights in the future though 😊😂.

    I really enjoy the spiciness with ATC in the video. I find it to be pretty authentic for commercial pilots. You can bet this takes place in real world cockpits from time to time as confessed by other pilots. Sometimes it even bleeds through on the radio as we’ve heard in real world ATC clips on YT. I’d rather the content provider be himself rather than trying to tailor his presentation to all possible opinions.

    Thanks for the stream again as always. I do think it is a pity that around 1:40 - 2:05 you have to use all that strong language again (I did not watch if further yet). You also have to think about your young audience I feel. I do understand the reasons for your frustrations, and it looks like you are right on that. But it does not help stressing out like that also, with all the strong language, because of your audience, or otherwise because it does not change anything also there and then. Is it perhaps not possible to plan the flight with VATSIM in such a manner that there is enough time to spare? So that you do not become so stressed out? I am sorry that I keep bugging you with this topic, but somebody perhaps has to say something. And I know very well what it is to be stressed out, I been so for the largest part of my life. Perhaps this is of some value for you. Looking forward to your next content. Greetings, Boudewijn

    I'm sorry, I disagree and understand Mr. Emmanuel's frustration here. There was no reason to ramp the plane in order to provide an IFR clearance. Further, the controller exercised poor skill (or lack thereof) during the taxi when it was entirely possible to move a turboprop and an airliner ahead of a 172 on a 3+ mile final. This is what's called a teachable moment.

  • @avi8r66
    @avi8r66Ай бұрын

    Yeah that was ridiculous. The airspace at the middle airport was definitely not crowded. And ATC was not taking into account aircraft types or speeds. I get it that the vatsim controllers are a mix of real ATC people and amateurs learning that side of things, but the time wasted by the sim pilots is very real. And if this was a real world day of flying legit complaints would be getting filed. After that 737 rejected takeoff they should have lined up you and the next airliner. You go, once you are wheels up clear the airliner to go. No worries. I don't know how much information the vatsim controllers have regarding the airspace and the planes in it, but that was garbage.

    So does the AP capture a simple ILS ? Isn't this a basic test of an AP ? Why don't you test it ? Black Square seems to have a problem with basic AP functionality across their fleet.

  • @ceegnz
    @ceegnz10 ай бұрын

    And that's why I don't use vatsim. Those who really want to play taxi all around the airport then sit in a queue and wait until someone remembers we're there simulator, go for it, it's your sim, sim it your way. Me, I play flight sim, I'm here to fly.

  • @bastianhundt

    I think you should not talk about a VATSIM controller like you did in this video. It sets a destructive tone. Realize that you have the opportunity to "fly" in such a great and vibrant community and one of the reasons you are able to make these kinds of videos (and enjoy all the benefits coming from >30k subscribers) are all the other people in the flightsim world oftentimes spending their free time.

  • @xeels2708

    @xeels2708

    Well we're also spending our free time playing on VATSIM and I would be equally pissed if my free time was to be wasted this way. Not being able to openly express the issues we're experiencing sets the dangerous tone of no accountability by VATSIM controllers and then it's no longer a cool and chill experience when playing but rather an anxious one waiting to see if I get my time wasted, if the controller is pissed or if everything is gonna be alright. I sincerely respect and thank the time that controllers spend on VATSIM but we, the users deserve that our time be equally as respected by them Also, playing the card of the "community" and the "subscribers" is really a low blow. You also need to realise that Emmanuel is providing us with his time and his knowledge and that the community has absolutely no right to force him to be anyone else than himself, you really need to take some steps back and think about that
