Yeeeeesss, I know Kyogre and Groudon were largely based on the concepts of a leviathan and a colossus/behemoth/whatever, and thus my idea isn't SUPER likely. But it's still fun to predict stuff like that, and my idea would go all out with the concept; I'm talkin' BIG Pokemon, here! Bigger than Wailord big! Also, I'm not sure why so many people think my Smash picks are impossible. They're just as impossible as Snake or Joker or Cloud once seemed. Nintendo can do whatever they want, and that of course includes turning an assist trophy into a full character if they so desire. There are no rules, despite what we may think.

I'm predicting a Breath of the Wild 2 announcement for late 2019 or the first half of 2020. It will use the same engine as BotW. Just the announcement. Probably with a Holiday 2020 release.

I predict Donkey Kong 64 and Paper Mario 64 to get remakes for the 3DS with the ladder being the last first party game for the system. And before you grumble keep in mind it would still be Paper Mario with better graphics on the go. Putting it on 3DS would leave room in the market on the switch open for TTYD HD or even a new Paper Mario. Plus if theyu released it on the switch they'd likely charge $50-60 given their current track record, which I can't justify spending on an N64 port given Sony sells PS4 games for under $30 on their storefront

No he didn't... 1. It's not a 2019 title 2. You don't manage the entire island 3. There are no tourists 4. There are no attractions 5. There is no island rating 6. There is no leaderbaord 7. It's not called island life 8. The animal crossing direct was not in july 9. There was no marketing push (because the game isn't out)

Although, this may be changing, now that Masuda is stepping down. He's the one behind that trend, after all. Also, the last four sets of games each released on the third Friday of November. If this trend follows through, then Pokémon 2019 will release on November 15.

The theme of the games will obviously be technology, foreshadowed by Meltan's design. Since they took down Pokemon Uranium, but haven't taken down a vast number of other pokemon fangames, this is even more likely.

Would love a Zelda dlc where you can go around hyrule after you killed ganon with hyrule being restored and needing to help the builders and do other quests :)

No way in hell Game Freak waits until June to reveal the Pokemon games. New generation Pokemon games tend to be revealed in Q1, they have earlier reveals than games like USUM or LGPE because they have a lot more new stuff to promote (new Pokemon, new areas, new characters, new features, etc.). And since the fans already know the game exists and they're antsy for a hardcore, next gen Pokemon experience, I'm betting it'll be sooner rather than later. I'd put the Pokemon announcement in January, maybe February at the latest.

Actually Pokemon has recently been going in a bit of a pattern. Sun and Moon released on November 18th, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon released on November 17th, and Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee released on November 16th. Take a guess when Gen 8 will come out.

@@Yoshiinite Id be fine with the game for 3DS espically considering I don't have a switch. Regardless of the system it will look and run better than the N64 orignal. Plus by releasing that on the 3DS theres no worry of it canabalizing the sales of TTYD HD on the switch or a new paper mario game. That's the reason why Luigi's Mansion was no 3DS and not switch. Putting it on switch would canabalize the sales of Luigi's Mansion 3

Animal Crossing Island Life sounds more of spinoff than a core game. Don’t get me wrong, I like the notion of having your own vacation-esque island and customizing it to your own heart’s desire, villagers as tourists, and the online aspect! But, it’s just too out there, far from what the Animal Crossing main game’s been about.

The new Animal Crossing has been confirmed to be a main series entry, and what you described here sounds more like a spinoff... I feel like that'll cheese a lot of people off, myself included.

I think Nintendo has pretty much already shown it’s 2019: Metroid, Yoshi, Pokémon, Bayonetta, Luigi’s Mansion etc. But I’m hoping for one surprise game. For me a dream surprise game would be Mario Maker 2 for the Switch. Edit: I just realized I’m accidentally repeating what Arlo said.

Hey, just side note here, I can't donate much, but I used to work at the last remains of the actual Tally Hall and have not only stood on but cleaned the tile from the original building for 3 years when working at Marvelous Marvin's Mechanical Museum. The band is actually a huge fan of the place and they'll make frequent trips to visit and to be absolutely honest, they're super sweet guys. I will donate what I can for this man.

@@anikonemethne8332 Because I want the early ideas built on and improved with new characters added. It's been a logical progression from game to game, throwing an "island life" in the mix would make it feel like a mobile spinoff.

For those who haven’t played it, the reason a custom Monster Hunter in smash is because there’s various weapon types, more than 8, so they couldn’t be alternate costumes. Examples: dual blades: high damage, high mobility, high vulnerability weapons, similar play style to sheik. Sword and shield: self explanatory. Greatsword: a massive sword, like 6-8 feet tall, which hits hard and is heavy, big charge time. Not all MH weapons are simple though, there’s a musical horn, for example, which does status effects. Or the Insect Glaive, which is like a pogo stick with knives on the end. There are also ranged weapons like bows and bow-guns *Edit: TLDR: there’s too many weapon types for alternate costumes to be the other weapons. That’s why we need custom fighters.*

@hoopa hey true... but I think Sega is focusing on arcade and mega drive game for now, it might be a while.

My uncle works at Nintendo and he told me Sans will be DLC. Take it with a grain of salt he’s a raging alcoholic.

My predictions for 2019 are a Mother 3 English translation and a porky reveal for smash DLC because next year is Mother's 30th anniversary both will be released in June next We will get a Mario Maker Port releasing Late November Than finally Pokemon 2019 gets revealed it will be called Pokemon forseti and Pokemon Magni

They should port Super Mario Maker to the Switch with features from both the Wii U and 3DS version(all features from Wii U Version and the Super Mario Challenge mode from the 3DS version), like what Nintendo did with Hyrule Warriors. Amazing video Arlo, keep it up! Edit: Nintendo NEED to add Bluetooth Headphones functionality to the Switch, maybe Wii controller compatibility as well!

Reggie releases Mother 3 Remastered on Mother's 30th anniversary, since the original was on a GB, it had "fuzzy" graphics, but the remastered one is good old clear resolution. *_-Reggie says it'll be released everywhere but North America as a joke and is assassinated-_*

The studio is already busy with their next project and there are interviews saying an X port is not going to happen Source: www.gameinformer.com/2018/10/18/monolith-soft-says-a-xenoblade-chronicles-x-switch-port-would-be-too-expensive A port of the first Xenoblade game could happen, but it just depends on if they want to spend that money for that. But, X is not happening.
