Mysty Boosty and Time Spiral Remastered also went through several boxes. I think it was TSR when he sent out a non signed card to a "signed card" patreon, because he doesn´t needed the value for the next box and a signature would have downgraded the card value. @@nathanwilliams9158

I think it‘s important to note, that the final total seen on screen is not the total value of the box since those cards below 2 dollars are not factored in. So on the second box the actual value in cards also certainly was 180$ or higher. It‘s just a more fictive number since those small value cards are not easily resellable.

I know this set is getting a lot of flack I can’t help but love this set. RtR was my introduction set to magic and I absolutely loved playing Boros and Azorius. It just brings back a lot of memories playing FNM with my standard azorius control deck and opening packs of return, gatecrash and theros with my friends

I love this set too, I just don't love some of the high prices. I think the set itself is actually amazing, but 200+ per box is just too high in my opinion.

If it was priced appropriately, I think people would be very positive about it. But they priced it way too high for it to make any sense.

It's not quite the same without Prof's woefully incorrect price guesses. :P

July of 2014 was the month I started playing magic, and I quickly found your youtube channel after that. It's been an amazing journey, Prof!

I love this set, for buying singles. Was able to buy foil borderless versions of each shock land for roughly half the price I got the non-foils for originally! Its kinda sad that those and cyclonic rift are the only real value here. A single box is not worth more than $100 IMO.

This guy makes my day better. Even when im not in the mtg mood ill still come watch this guys videos. Thank you sir for the amazing content.

I forgot about Rhythm of the Wild. It’s just a little more than $2 right now. I was pretty happy to pull a few Farseeks though.

Even that second box was much better than what most people I know have been getting when it comes to draft boxes for this set.

i’m excited for play boosters so that when i buy boxes to open for fun i can do a fun little draft with my brothers and/or friends and then just kinda have the cards then hopefully put them in decks which i imagine the draft will motivate me to do :3

It was an amazing time. I started playing in that era when I was just a goober playing in a basement LGS game room. I can still remember the first packs of ravnica I opened and falling in love seeing that Vraska booster display, that's the kind of art that sets Magic apart from other games. It's what drew so many of us in, and sank us deeper into that amazing fantasy world that Wizards created in that time. It was so good people bought it up like hot cakes. OG Ravnica boxes are getting really hard to find, like over 2k, moving into that high end category with onslaught and some other sets of that era. I'm definitely a ravnica stan, and I know it influenced a lot of other people the same way.

That first box was pretty down to the wire

The LCS I went to for the ravnica remastered draft had booster boxes selling for $220. Ended up telling them the card shop I usually buy cards from was selling them for $180 and somehow he was shocked anyone would sell a box at $5 a booster. There's a reason I only go there for board games and releases.

Honestly, I like this set. It's fun. Good limited and good reprints. Plus I somehow pulled a serialized card from my one collector boosters I always get. So that was a nice send off. Also waiting on the Behind the Campus video. I'm sure it's coming and I'm excited for it.

Damn, some really nice song selections this time around, Prof! Some may see this as an end to an dynasty, but it truly is the beginning of a new era. I'm hopeful that play boosters will be a smooth transition; but i've always been a player that cared about collecting as well as playing. With that being said, I still hate collector boosters, at least how they are now. If WotC ever changes the formula for those and makes more "reasonable" prices for them, then I still won't buy them, but more players can have some fun with them.

I just open a draft booster box recently. And realised I was meant to play Selesnya. I have a RTR Temple Garden, opened a Expedition Temple Garden (which I sold) and now opened 2 Temple Garden from the box

For a set that has been called "RavniSCAM", GAMEPIECES, etc., making it to a second box and failing by less than $30 is a more than respectable result. Better than a lot of other sets. This set will only go up once MKM releases and the wheels of MtG go on.

I list the cards online using market low prices meaning they are the cheapest individual listings for each card and thus the very next to sell.

Given that he's said that he has done some of the booster box game recording multiple boxes on the same day, I don't think it's too bold to assume he doesn't actually sell them, just takes the market value on the day and if it exceeds the value of the box opens another. Just says "sell them and then goes to the LGS to get another box" to make it seem more relatable.

are the prices that you list in your videos the market prices at that point or the price that you actually sell the cards for? I feel like card prices are typically very inflated at the release of a set and tend to drop dramatically over the course of a few weeks to months.

The only bombs in this set are the serialized ones and of course every pain land. Everything being a reprint just brings it all down. However so many of the anime reprints are simply awesome art!

I like numbers. I would like to know how many cards have you sold doing all those booster box games over 10 years. If you're using some kind of online marketplace, maybe you have some way to see those stats over time? :D

I didn't even realize Anime Arts were in draft boosters. I thought they were Collectors exclusives. (I opened 10 packs without seeing any anime)

The prices on these cards will go down. I am seeing so many Shock Lands being pulled from box openings. Our group will not buy any sealed boxes unless there is a huge Amazon dump. We may wait awhile and buy some singles. Thank you for the video Professor.

This set seems to be pretty well balanced for value. There are a good number of cards that are worth $5-12. It's doesn't seem as much as if you don't get a chace card you won't get value for the box (depending what you paid for it).

Sounds weird, but I've been waiting for one of the youtubers I follow to get another hello fresh type promo.

Those price changes are why my FLGS doesn't buy singles for the first week of any new expansion.
