The unfair thing about Pokemon is that the game tells you what Pokemon your opponent is about to use giving you the ability to choose the weakness of your opponent being able to take down Pokemon 10 to 15 levels above you easily. If the game did not tell you what Pokemon your opponent was about to send out the game would be like 10 times harder.

I remember meeting red by accident , man that was scary i was just training my pokes and checking out the mountain and i reached the top after a while , i cuda swore the sprite looked familiar and i talked and had to fight a guy with 30lvls higher pokes and then i saw " trainer red" and i jus full out lost and grinded after that , i went back with an A team of my strongest pokes from my other games so u cud imagine how op it was but nope i just barely survived red

Missed opportunity: We all know Red's team: Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Snorlax, and Lapras. Well that shouldn't be always the case. In the regular Nintendo DS, you use the GBA slot to transfer Gen 3 Pokemon to Gen 4 Pokemon games. Well FR/LF, after you get the Hall of Fame (and also Sevii islands), you should connect the one of the games to the DS and have HG or SS in the DS slot. When you are at the game Menu, there should be an option that says "Face Original Team" or something like that. So, at the end, instead of facing Red's regular team, you would face the Pokemon you used to beat FR/LF in high levels...

When I first fought Red it was awesome. I was exploring Mt.Silver and saw a path I could use rock climb. After obtaining all 16 badges and getting rock climb I went to Mt.Silver and rock climbed my way up. I thought I was gonna fight a legendary Pokemon but I found something much better. I reached the top. I was sure the legendary was here. It was quiet, too quiet. I realize my final challenge was approaching. As I continue I see a lone trainer. I have never seen him before. I talk to him wondering why he is here. Then, the music. After a long and hard battle I finally win, and he is gone. That was my favourite experience I have ever had in a video game yet.

Watching the last episode of a purplerodri series is always sad to see

I can't help but feel that if Red could switch out his pokemon, or choose his own moves, or even have control over his own life, he would have won...

I remember watching this from first episode to last this is one of the best youtube series of all time not just pokemon.

I just kept going through your pokemon videos from the elite four to here to make my team for the original Pokemon silver for the 3DS.

Man, it's the last battle, at least turn the battle style to "set" so that you don't know ahead of time which pokemon he's sending out...

When everybody battles Red they always change their teams,so they get advantage by types,but the real challenge is to NOT change your team so you DON'T actually get "super effective" always.That's the real way to beat Red.

I love how high he sounds it makes the video a lot better

I remember when I fought Red, in the end, my only Pokémon left was Typhlosion, and his, Charizard. We were fighting for fifteen minutes, and his Charizard fainted, while my Typhlosion was left with 15 hp. It was a battle I will never forget.

Why the developers never do more of these final battles...? T-T

***** i mean, it is exciting of fighting your own character you used in the recent pokemon games. Like, in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, you get the ticket to goto Johto and Kanto region and get 24 badges, enter the Indigo Plateu, and goto Mount Silver, fight Red or Green and Fight Gold or Crystal. (Gold and Crystal are acutal names of the main Playable Characters of Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal).

+Alexander Ellison I won with a level 50 Lanturn... I only had to occasionally revive it, and just repeat the Stockpile, Charge Beam, and Blizzard. All you literally need to know how to set up a combo, you don't need to waste so much time and energy training to level 70s.

Alexander Ellison Most of the times I had to revive it was because of crit hax haha. When you raise it's defensive stats to max, there's nothing breaking through it (Except a crit).

I thought I was done with the game until I saw this video and thought, "wait, I have to battle red?" And so I booted up my SS that I thought I finished a few years ago and finally beated the game. Though it was fun to see the Pokemon I had caught and what I did.

The theme for red gives me chills

The first time i got up to the top of mt silver and saw that one single trainer at the top of the mountain i was.... troubled to say the least, you see i had no idea who red was and since my brother had played the game before i did i asked him who this weird trainer was and my brother just said "good luck" and walked away i was NOT prepared for the massacre that was about to unfold.
