One of the best comedic part of the series is seeing the siblings good-willed banter. It's clear they love each other, but it's also clear that they pester each other constantly. To the point that Francesca gets sent to Bath and wants to marry so she can live with less people and less noise.

In the books they continue playing every year after they're married and even 10 years later Kate and Anthony are still trying to take each other out and sabotage each other. Their marriage doesn't change their competitiveness at all.

In the book the siblings deliberately hide the purple mallet and ball and Kate chooses the black , the Mallet of Death , and the siblings decide Edwina should get the blue ( all this happens when Anthony has left the group to go collect Edwina from the house ) so all that is left is the pink mallet & ball for Anthony. He usually snaffles the black and this becomes a point of competition later when they are married between Kate & Anthony in fun ( as the are so competitive that in each game the object is to not let the other win by any means ( which leads to much of the books humour). All the humour which I felt was completely missing from the series. The changed storyline completely changes the book plot as to be unrecognisable. All that is the same is the title and the names of the main characters. Julia Quinn must be so sad to see her best-seller' s plot completely trashed yet she will just have to keep a smile on her face over it all. Al. The very best scence in the book are either not there is so watered down and changed that the actual context for our understanding mof the characters, and the plot were completely gone. I was so,looking forward to this Series but am highly frustrated and very disappointed and don't know if I even want to watch it again. Hope they don't ruin Series 3 like this. I think I would rather go re read The Viscount Who Loved Me again for the 4th time rather than rewatch Series 2. . The actors were not at fault they just did the best they possibly could with a terrible script and storyline. It was more like a story plot for The Bold and The Beautiful or Days of our Lives. Arghhhh.

Plus, her stories have some annoying anti-feminist tones especially in terms of eloise and Kate and Edwina, these three characters so much better here on the series. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others don't appreciate it especially the author who got paid a sh*t ton of money for the rights of her stories.

This justified Edwina's character in the book. She is charming, beautiful and graceful. But, she does not have the competitiveness every Bridgerton child has. That's why she can't keep up with them. She is more interested in books than fields.

Edwina is adorable, and she's steel under the silks. I was happy that the two IDIOTS In lust (at least Anthony) ended up admitting that for all her softness and lack of competitivity, Edwina showed more courage than any of the two of them. Once Edwina realized what was going on, she dared offend a queen in order to do what she considered right. I really wish we could see more of her character.

Everything about this scene is fantastic, but I have to point out Kate’s expression at 0:05. She’s already having the time of her life, and they haven’t even started yet!

The cut to Daphne right after this scene is hilarious. She's like, why does this look familiar to me.

Kate and Anthony had so much chemistry...Anthony finally realized his love for kate....I loved them together...I hope in season 3 we also get to see Kate and Anthony...I loved how they incorporated indian culture in the season...Simone and Jonathan were fascinating together...Like Fireworks...And Anthony's love for kate was real and true....when seina asked him to leave her he did....but he couldn't leave Kate 💜....I loved them so much....But I want to see more of them in Season 3

i think the actors were asked in an interview if they have plans to return in future seasons and they said that they do and that they at least will like to be present at every bridgerton wedding so hopefully we will have cute kate and anthony moments in future seasons

I mean considering that Anthony is the head of the Bridgerton family and his new wife is the new Vicountess, they mentioned that part of her duties as the new Vicountess is to take care of things related to his siblings, meaning she is probably now in charge of helping with their education and preparing them for their own marriages. Obviously she will be helping his sisters during their seasons out and with all the preparations and balls and all that stuff and I'm guessing she will also be a good person to give advice to his younger brothers when they are in need of it during their own love stories. I feel she could really help Eloise most of all since she seems to understand her and Eloise seems to have taken a liking to her and sees her as a different type of woman than her sister Daphne and she seems to feel like she relates more to the type of woman Kate is than her sister. So I think it's only natural to see the Vicount and Vicountess in the upcoming seasons since they are basically the heads of the Bridgerton family.

Truly my favorite scene. It also shows that Edwina feels weird about their battle and kate fitting in. To bad Simon wasn't there. It the novel he was also one the players Edit: i read in the novel that Edwina looked at the Bridgerton siblings as if they have escaped the asylum 😂

😂😂😂Simón probably knows Anthony better than his own brothers do and he would've noticed even faster than Daphne what Anthony's true feelings were, that's if he didn't notice it right away lol and I can imagine him giving Anthony advice since he also refused to marry and love and children at first until he finally fell for Daphne and married her and ended up having children. I could also see him and Daphne playing a more active role in trying to fix the situation and maybe even intervening with his plans and setting him up so he could end up with who he loved and we could've avoided the scandalous affair that was his proposal to the wrong sister only for the wedding to be called off on the very wedding day.

Just by thhis scene you could see how good they were for each other! Brilliant!

This season … they amount of time I had to reach for cold water 😅. That slow burn was killing me. It was delicious and agonizing at the same time. 😅🥵😂

Yes, Edwina is just too mild and keeps looks around like everyone else is nuts, her sister included ... which in fairness they are.

The way this show uses color is incredible. Notice how Colin picked the yellow mallet💛

I think Jonathan and Simone played Anthony and Kate’s character SPECTACULARLY that I actually felt frustrated for them that the culmination of their feelings happened at the end of the season! After reading the book, I appreciate how Netflix gave Anthony and Kate different scenes where they can display their characters/values well.

How did i ever miss that, 😂 i watched the season several times and this scene 20x times and never picked up on it.

I honestly thought this entire scene was wonderful yet sad/awkward. He was courting Edwina, obviously has feelings for Kate, Edwina was so timid to try with this family and Kate just didn’t care and showed she fit right in, even if Edwina didn’t.

I felt sad about Edwina at the beginning, but the series gave her the ending she deserved. She told Kate everything Kate needed to hear, clearly stated that she was a mature woman who needed no help, and the series had Anthony tell Kate that Edwina had more balls than the two of them together, because she actually acted on their feelings while the two dolts were still crying over "muh responsibility towards my family".

The most amazing part of this scene is that they are foreshadoing the main season for each character. Colin gets his ball trough the arch with the number 3 on it and season 3 is going to be about him and Pen´s relationship and Eloise gets her trough the arch with the number 5, so that season is going to be her main story with Sir Philip. So season 4 is going to be about Benedict and Sophie.

Kathony is definitely the best part of S2 ♥ Their chemistry is off the charts! I only wish they gave them more screen time. Too many side plots.

I think the writers are trying to shorten the books. There are 7 books and Elouise doesn't find out about Penelope's secret until the 3rd or 4th book. There is also a lot of EXTRA drama added that wasn't part of the original story.

When it comes to their competitive nature Kate is the very definition of: "Anything you can do I can do better, I can do anything better than you"🤭 and it aggravates and turns Anthony on simultaneously😂

The casting is spot on in this series. Edwina come across as young, naive and borderline childish. Kate on the other hand is all woman, capable, and has such poise and femininity in the way she walks and carries herself.

Edwina is young and naive, but in the book she's also smart, and in the series she was given a very mature ending. The moment at the un-wedding when Edwina told Kate that she had been a complete moron was really satisfying, because Edwina deserved to know the truth. The moment when Anthony told Kate "your sister was more courageous than us two, because she did something about these feelings the moment she sensed them" was also very satisfying. I'm all team Kate and Anthony, but I'm also very happy that the scriptwriters were kind to Edwina. She's a sweetheart with a heart of steel and that was adorable to see.

I love when the game begins Kate is off with Eloise and poor Edwina is just standing there unsure what to do. Kate really fits so well with Bridgertons.

Kate is the definition of gaslight, gate keep & girl boss. Also love Edwina's peacefulness and gracefulness😍😘🤗

anthony might be the funniest bridgerton sibling. his "YOU EXAGGERATE!!!!" was so funny and him not really wanting to clap for kate but still doing it took me out (3:54) lmao

i finished this season in 1 sitting. i love their chemistry, it just pulls you in. they're so adorable together and how they're really serious in their duty towards their family. i would've loved to see more of them. Kat is sooo pretty 😍😍😍

The whole ridiculous argument of Anthony accusing Kate of deliberately using Newton to make Edwina fall into the lake and Kate retorting something to an effect like I'm not a dog whisperor to bark instructions to a non-threatening Corgi to run towards where Edwina exactly is just to push her away into the waters😂😂😂 Anthony becomes so dumb when it comes to Kate...

For all those people out there saying these two have no chemistry, I hate to see what you think qualifies. You can feel the chemistry through the damn screen. They did an excellent job casting Simone Ashley. I really don't think it would have been the same with someone else.

But what annoys me is that everyone sees the chemistry and feel uncomfortable but don’t say anything at all!
