@FSinWCR As well as MK Trilogy's, if you remember Rain's fatality (uppercutting the opponent in pieces which land upside down) or Cage's (kicking out the legs so the body lands on the ankles), which also painfully showed the limitations of the MK3 engine. You get the cut-and-paste look (look at the arms dangling in mid-air on fatalities) instead of the cool details from the hand-drawn/digitized hybrid engine of MK2, like Kung Lao's vivisection. How the victim split apart was so awesome.

Smokes friendship is stupid lol, but I love his Armageddon finisher. Even though the Earth is destroyed, Shao Kahn is still able to announce "Smoke Wins. Fatality." lol.

I love those MK3 soundeffects... :-)

No ninjas?!?! It has Sub-Zero. Not to mention I believe Cyrax and Sektor are "soulless robotic ninjas" according to the story.

i havent play this game in a while, i use to play this game when i was like 5.

I remember going to the arcade and putting a quater in and asking anybody around to pick a player. Then I'd beat the game, walk away and let the crowd of people watch the ending of the game. I'd come back with more quaters...I'd do that all day. LOL I remember some kid asking me how I was so good, so I totally lied and said I worked for Gamepro magzine. LOL

I never really cared for MK3's fatalities. Like the bell tower one looks like they randomly just set spikes at the bottom of the steps. But oh well. It still takes me back. lol Ur pretty good

I think I've been enough time on the internet for me to know what people think an LP is and who this Slowbeef guy is...but as I've already said, LP is a fan-made terminology based on a hobby so it doesn't even have to be taken seriously. In other words I can call my videos whatever I like. If people expect something different, it's not my fault.

Whether or not you personally think it's stupid has no bearing on the fact that you're trying to basically swap definitions. A Let's Play has always been and always will be, by definition, a playthrough with audio or text of the player/recorder's immediate thoughts, feelings and reactions added on it.

And does Smoke not have any combos? It seems you never properly capitalize on your opponent after using your harpoon move.

My main point is, I'd REALLY like to see someone take on the Warrior ladder AND win without any kind of cheating or save states. I would really like to see if there is a niche for beating Shao Kahn, considering he is much more aggressive on the Warrior ladder. Any tips?

MK3 is a classic, although i do prefer MK2 for the 2D MK games :) and this isnt on SNES, its running on an emulator on PC, hence the state save

1 button fatalities was the only mk3 cheat i knew.. but it was enough for me

I don't know why you're interpreting this as some sort of attack/threat. By definition, "Let's Play" is "One or more people, usually from message boards, that record themselves playing video games through screenshots or captured video (Mostly the latter)." The word "Let's" meaning that you're involving the audience. All this is is a playthrough. No quirks, no commentary, just a straight up run through the game And in case you hadn't known, Slowbeef is the one who created LPs.

now I know that everyone will disagree but I liked the Genesis version better...... I like the 6 button controller better than the SNES controller..... I have both versions so I can make an honest opinion

I don't think "cheating" is the right term. The only way to beat the A.I is by KNOWING before hand how it works..that's not cheating, that's called being smarter than the game AKA being good at a game.

Is it me or are the enemies in MK3 FUCKING HARD (not as in the verb, but an adjective)? I think I downloaded the wrong ROM because this game is hard as shit.

How is a "fan-made" term if it's not leaning towards anything fan-based to begin? It's not really yours to call since you didn't create the term nor the idea. Let's Play is an original term that has nothing to do with being a fan since you can play a game/franchise you're not familiar with.

Um, what are you talking about "cheating" not being the right term? You blatantly admitted that you cheated the moment the video begins. Then, you blatantly enter the codes to get "kool stuff" etcetera, and gave yourself extra continues at the very least, not to mention you are using a character you were clearly not intended to use(without cheating) that is. By the way, I managed to beat this game on medium with Cyrax without using any cheats or using handicaps sometime after making that post.

For fucks sake... SOMEONE SHOW HOW TO BEAT THE A.I. IN THIS GAME WITHOUT CHEATING.. PLEASE! I am not trying to complain. I am just making an honest request. I understand why this guy cheated.. the A.I. is fucking ridiculously hard.
