Cardiac arrest usually happens when just ONE cell in the heart is off. A defibrillator STOPS the heart so you're pacemaker has a chance to restart. Like a car battery, I believe...

I'm going to have to agree with Ryan on this one. Ryan knows what he is talking about most of the time. He may flub his words (which is understandable due to raising two kids), but he is smart.
