I've watched many orange painting videos, I'm impressed with almost every picture. But with your friend's drawing of oranges, I'm more impressed, it's a very true color. The picture is like a photograph taken by some skillful photographer. But this is the craftsmanship of your hands, a very wonderful work.

Glad it was helpful, Tracy! I tried attempting a huge patch at first and realised that the real burlap is also made out of connected fibres so why should I paint them all in one go? HAHA I don't think this logic even works, but it somehow helped me for some odd reason xD

Oh reallyyyy?? xD hahaha I do feel a bit more comfortable these days with voice overing, but I don't really like recording my voice in general (I feel very awkward still after 4 years) hahaha so I'm glad I'm somewhat improving yay!

I really enjoy your art tutorials. It is my deepest desire to be able to draw and paint in my retirement, i.e. now! are there specific pencils that would be best for drawing?

Oh congrats on your retirement! I personally like using HB for watercolours, but if it's just for drawing I use HB for the base and work with softer pencils like 2B, 4B and 6B for the darker details :) All the best and enjoy your well deserved time :DD
