I was so glad to see you this video pop up as it was one that I don't think I've ever seen before. And I thought I'd watched everything. I'm so glad to find them. Another great little video. I had a Eureka moment....listening to you while you flip the pages is like story time....no one is rushing through...slowly going over each page....pointing out each little detail. Asking questions...very engaging! And always at the end....you want more....just like a little kid....one more story, please!

Absolutely love this. I immediately started one of my own. It's almost done, just need to add a tag or two. I'm quite happy with it. Your instructions are so east to follow. And who knew a slanted pocket would be so easy?! ☺💕

I think it’s the delicate nature of dictionary paper that makes it desirable for junk journals. It’s interesting because I love the texture of old book pages which are actually thicker than our paper today however there’s something also wonderful about delicate dictionary paper too.

That's an interesting point Marlene. I have nothing against it.....I'm just a little impatient, but I also love colour and I think it's more of a vintage thing....maybe... Also, I don't possess an ink pad in the right colour 😁 ❣️

I was inspired by your use of old dictionary pages to go and dig up an old one I have. It's from 1949 and is nicely aged on the edges. I'm looking forward to making an envelope folder. I also just subscribed. TFS!

Oh I love all those flippy flaps... Great fun and lovely and colourful... I missed your snippet roll last time so off to watch that now... And yes the upright is still a belly band as it goes right through but I know what you mean 'belly' being the word that doesn't quite fit... Ha ha!! 😁😁❤️🌹

I just cleaned up my stache tonight! This is a way to use pieces of paper I can't seem to part with! I have an old book I use for print value. It's great to paint on and I use pastels to. I use tacky glue & I always have glue stick on hand. I'm waiting for our thrift stores to open to acquire more Books to tair into lol.

I started with tacky glue and really liked it, as it was white so I could also see it, which helps. I have just changed to collal but I’m not sure about thus one, so may try Fabri tac or go back to the tacky x

joie de fi I love it. I have so many other glues that are still in my craft room and I am not using. I am going to have to donate them. You need such a small amount with the art glitter glue. It is very strong and dries clear matte. If your edges on a project are up, I just put a little, sometimes right in top of the card stock and rub it down. I have even used it on my photo albums if the paper in the seams break slightly. You should give it a try.

I tend to tuck and glue the smaller envelope flaps into the larger envelope (careful not to glue the larger envelope closed) as opposed to gluing the flaps into one another. When I make what you call snippet strips, I use a lot of textile bits (cotton, linen, silks, velvet, corduroy, canvas, burlap, Aida cloth, etc.) and fibers, thread, and cords I twist into yarns, to sew onto the book page strips, which I enjoy doing by hand with heavy contrasting thread or perle cotton. I like the texture and mixed media, and since I create my own fabrics, I have plenty of it. 😁 A few years ago we rescued some sheep and we started making our own wool felt. I've been thinking of making covers with it. What do you think?

I am really interested in junk journaling. Your channel was recommended to me and I am hooked! You are so interesting to watch and listen too. I was a card maker and book folder then moved to sewing bags, cushion covers, make up bags and some clothes from recycled fabrics so I have lots of supplies. I just don’t know where to start! Wales... you're not far away 😁 I would start with a basic single signature junk journal. I have a few video on my channel showing easy step by step ways to create one. And your fabric can feature in the decoration... I'm just starting to sew and to bring that into my junk journaling. You're going to have so much fun!! Joie ❣️🌿🍄
