Let's make a pocket hole jig from scraps!

It appears that I can't say no to an Australian challenge. This is my entry to the #WoodJigs21 challenge by James from Fixit Fingers.
Pocket hole jigs look really useful, but I wasn't ready to spend the kind of money that a proper setup require, so I decided to make my own just to try it out.
On a side note, I really should smile more in my videos...
Here is a playlist with all the entries to the challenge:

Make the hole a little bigger and line it with the appropriate size metal sleeve. You are smart enough to figure the rest of it

Hahahaha brilliant mate! Love the video and the ghetto jig. As long as it gets the job done, it is a win. I was going to say when you measured out, pocket holes are 15 degrees, glad you got that sorted ;) What a cracking entry. I am a fan of "Proof of Concept" jigs before investing the time in a 'real' version. Top stuff. 👍

Would never have thought to make one from wood. Great idea. Very scary what happen with your miter saw.

I personally could never justify myself spending decent money on a jig, when I could easily just throw a spade bit in, tilt the drill on some wild angle, grit my teeth & hope for the best! . . . . but this jig speaks to me!! Great idea

A classic. I gave this a go a few times but couldn't get it right, yours looks mint! Might need to give it another Crack, especially as I've lent my cheap aluminium one to a workmates and we've gone into a lockdown here in nz. Cheers mate!
