I love your videos! It’s nice to see a quilter using affordable fabric from JoAnns too. Not everyone can afford designer fabrics. Sometimes on social media I see quilters put down fabrics from big box stores, but sometimes those affordable fabrics are just the ticket for a multitude of reasons. Thanks for making your wonderful videos! ❤

Stitch a outline of a lemon on the squares. It would add a custom quilting touch and keep your squares from sagging in the middle.

This was a really cute quilt...I think I can beat your cost of a quilt...I recently was trying to do something with all the scraps so I made a string quilt...so far no cost...then I used all the leftover batting and pieced it together...no cost...so the final was the backing and that was a sheet that I no longer used that was still very nearly unused...again no cost... Finished it off with scrap binding and a 46 x 46 quilt. I donated it to my church for our building fund and we raised $500.

What a great picnic quilt and for the beach 🏖️. Cute idea. I love doing a half inch shadow stitching on my seams, too. In this case, I would have also used a marking pencil and ruler to make diagonal lines going through the squares and stitched on those. Traditional but secures the squares and the geometric design contrasts well with the floral prints and wavy design on the towel backing.

Years ago when we traveled to South Carolina to visit relatives, we used beach towels to cover our luggage, etc. in the back of our station wagon. Then when we went into motels for the night, we would take the towels inside and use them as extra pillows or blankets. Your quilt would be good for travel too.

Not upside down darling turned over. I favor the darker blue myself the right side up maybe you could have put it on the outside of the quilt instead of dead center. Food for thought. Love your Channel love your personality you're a sweetheart and so is your quilt❤

My go-to economical tip is to use the inexpensive fleece blankets for batting. Walmart typically has the solid color, cheap fleece blankets for $3 each. They usually measure 50x60.

That would make a great baby quilt if you did that as it would have been about eight inches smaller all around with all that seam allowance. I wanted it bigger than that, but a wonderful idea! I’d love to see that video! Let me know it’s out. ❤️
