Yeah that was absolutely wild to see him keep moving the show back to the incident and was so desperate to have someone, anyone, take his side. And then keep the whole "hey everyone, remember how when Amin left for no reason and I did nothing wrong?" My word that was the most painful thing I've seen on this show ever I think. My take, Izzy knew he was wrong and felt bad but doesn't know how to or, possess the ability to, apologize or pull things back when he's wrong and instead his default in those situations is to scorch the earth of everyone around him and make it worse through arrogance, smugness, gaslighting and condescension

Izzy with the biggest heel turn of all time this week. He was horrendous as a host and mean to boot, I legitimately don’t want him to ever come back. Juju was absolutely on to something with something negative inside of Izzy that was just trying to come out and attack others. Geez

I Juju is a force of nature when it comes to being positive i love it

I like Izzy. But Izzy is very needy of validation from others, it struck me in the South Beach sessions when he opened with being hurt that Dan wasn’t getting in touch with him enough. Seemed very strange in the moment when I heard it but I moved on and didn’t think much of it then, now it’s making more sense. He’s seems to be suffering from a case of the “me’s”. It seems like he doesn’t think Amin is deserving of the success he has earned since leaving ESPN and while espn is now shelving most of its talents or sticking them in the background. Very strange. Hopefully he can figure it out and get passes whatever he’s working through.

I'm not sure that I agree with the validation part of your comment. But, I agree completely with the last part of your comment. I think that you have to look at this in the context of them working together on their radio show. Izzy sees Amin getting some success, but knows that Amin has shit work ethic. He has demonstrated that repeatedly. So, there's got to be a little bit "How in the fuck is that guy succeeding?" going on. We probably all have a person like that where we see them succeed and can't really figure out why. Amin is Izzy's.

This is the last thing he needs, or probably wants to deal wit. It's also not a good look when you are continuing to grow your product and fan base. I used to love Izzy. Didn’t know he and Amin had a history at ESPN. Wild he couldn’t just drop it. He even demanded an apology 😂 Also, Chris showed horrifically terrible judgement in the big seat. Calling Amin on air and not telling him and then pretending to be surprised it didn’t go well when even Izzy said it was a bad idea.

@@romeyrome32 Amin couldn't even get to his seat before Izzy started in. He introduce him by saying that he was late, and tried to massage it by mentioning that Amin has another show he was filming. Made fun of him for having what very well be a drinking problem. Said that Amin was upset because he is less famous now than he was when they were previously working together. Called him a failed actor and screenwriter. And said that his whole career is a failed act. Izzy then said that he didn't care because it was his last day anyway. Took his shoes off placed them on the desk before going on timeout?? Then he started in on JuJu...shit was just bizarre and childish behavior. Jokes are jokes, but body language rarely lies...and Izzy's body language/facial expressions told the real story.

This is why you need a Stugotz in studio, can't trust the show to copilots for this long. Send up the Fat signal and get Dan back pronto.

Not gon lie, I think i changed my mind a bit about mike. He navigated perfectly. He was so chill today!

The only thing that hurt Izzy's rep, with me, was his going relentlessly negative, then not letting the initial misunderstanding with Amin go. Dragging in old radio baggage about Amin when Amin wasn't there and then storming back after he left telling Amin not to talk about him would have been funny if part of a bit. Here's hoping Izzy rebounds and the two get past today. Still, an entertaining show--the white people can't dance portion notwithstanding. And am I the only one who has started to really like Mike during this stretch? Maybe it's about getting to know him. Whatever the root, good on him.

Izzy did mention Amin’s unprofessionalism from when they previously worked together but airing it out live when you’re supposed to be doing your grieving friend a favor is pretty unprofessional in its own right. Also, there was a moment where it seemed like Izzy was trying to imply Amin is homophobic. It was somewhere near the end when Izzy kept saying something along the lines of “what is it you don’t like about me, huh? What is it?”

Izzy just stewing not able to let things go was horrible.

"The disease of me" was strong in Izzy today. Hopefully he watches this back and sees what everyone else saw. He usually gets the show, but this (and a good chunk of this week) was worse than pulling teeth. I'm over here hoping for Dominique, Pablo, Samson, ANYONE other than Izzy to lead the show next week. I think from personal experience, he has deep resentment towards the show and Amin. He came in with a charged up attitude and it didn’t play out well. I feel bad, but it wasn’t the time to let it out.

Either one hell of a bit or one hell of an intercompany dispute that shouldn’t have been on air. Salute to Juju either way!

Unintended consequence of all the drama: you have a new big fan thanks to Juju Mike and even Jeremy. Chris is okay too I guess. Izzy did it to himself by acting the most unlikable character on a show including Mike, and I actually liked the shoes. JuJu needs more airtime.

Amin is right, Izzy couldn’t move on. Felt very immature and petty. I did find the drama entertaining. It was shocking to hear Izzy keep bringing it back.

Izzy has the problem where he wants to be seen as a good guy rather than just be a good guy. I have that problem.

Izzy should never be invited to back ever again. I felt triggered when he said “Amin is only having this attitude because he knows I won’t be back next week.” How ironic considering moments before that I thought to myself “Izzy is being like this because of old resentments and it’s only because he’s not personally invested in Meadowlark, it doesn’t matter if he completely sabotages the whole thing.”

Amin and Izzy obviously don’t like each other, probably all the way back from the ESPN Radio days. The thing is Amin is way better at keeping it professional during the show where Izzy is the type to constantly bring things back and air things out in front of everyone

last week foxworth picks on someone about a coat for about 30mins, this week two days ABOUT dicks and now a heel turn...I know dan needs this time but Stu needs to get back asap. I assume he is taking his kids to college. Stu held it altogether when DAn was out for like a month back in 2019. Dan would not approve of the madness

@@xavierbaltazar2453 that’s a fact the dynamic with dom is pretty chill and fun, Izzy had some real issue with Amin and took his opportunity to take near personal, this wasnt their best showing especially when he took shots at Juju, he was trying to keep things light and take tension out of the room and Izzy just poured more gas on it. Not the best showing but the shows after this should be pretty good

the fact that Izzy was such a giant man child today is so embarrassing. Especially given the context of why he was there filling in, in the first place.

Izzy never felt "playful" this week, if that makes sense. He kept bringing up how Dan does the show by leaning into stuff, but there's a line at when it stops feeling playful. I also don't know why he thinks his reputation is ruined. Being known as the nice guy doesn't mean you're never in the wrong. Amin and him both took an L today but he took the bigger one, by far.
