I've got the same intercooler in my 335i and temps are about 20°F cooler on average, what I like most about it is how quickly the temps cool down it's insane. Longer drivers are a bit more fun because there's no more heat soak issues. All stock parts are used.

How did you get the radiator fan stick to the intercooler?

I have the same, noticed a little more lag, especially from the line. My biggest concern is the weight, and the fact that it is held up via two small torx screws going into the plastic mounts. I would feel better with additional mounts.

I had the same concern. But then I saw that all other intercoolers for our cars mount the same way and are heavier than stock. I have not heard of anyone having issues so I feel it should be ok. When I go to install a set of charge pipes I may remove the factory screws and use some longer ones to get a bit more bite since the mounting brackets on this intercooler are thicker than stock.

So with the heat outside have you noticed the power retention yet? I live in So Cal and I swear I lose 50 hp when it's hot and the stock intercooler might be the cheapest part on the car.

We have had a few 80 degree days and the car feels great. I have noticed a difference, the car overall just feels better. Mainly noticeable in the mid range.

Everyone’s saying their car doesn’t have any problem with over heating but if you want a stage 2 tune, isn’t a new intercooler almost necessary?

Mike Fetters yes. Even stage 1 you notice a diff. Also ur car won’t overheat but heat soaking will lose hp after like 15m hard driving. Turbo will start getting hotter and intake will get hot so less power

I wouldn't install anything less than a Wagner Intercooler, these cheap intercoolers usually don't do their job well

It was actually very trouble free. No issues from it at all. Really surprised me.

Have you considered moving to a colder place? You could of saved $200 and be really cold all the time 😎 The temperature in Scotland are pretty good and they drive on the correct side of the road

My F30 performs well and doesn’t have heat issues....hmmm

We are making 377whp and 356ft lbs of torque and never over heated. The car has a little over 100k miles on it. In fact it stays below 190 degrees for about an hour of city driving.

If the ride is stock why waste money on a larger intercooler. I have tuning and exhaust and my temp gauge won’t go higher than 160 waste of money to me. Add a BOV instead better bang for your dough.

If you're referring to the gauge on the dash, that's engine oil temp.

Ryo Saeba same controls cooling. If it goes about 230ish you’ll hear to radiator come on. Bottom line is larger intercooler won’t do anything bc the turbo is still the same size no need for more air to surge.
