I don't live in your area anymore. But I did order myself a Red Sox vinyl cover, still awaiting its arrival. But i also got an alternate artwork vinyl that i did receive. It is translucent blue and sounds great. Thanks for sharing. Keep on rockin' imagine yourself at 80, still showing us you cds.

Hackney Diamonds" is a quite impressive album, rivaling their "Tattoo You" or "Voodoo Lounge" albums. The good use of syncopation in rhythm, coupled with the unexpected guitar sounds added here and there, adds a delightful flavor. I can't help but admire & love Keith Richard's guitar sound.

40$ for a Trucker cap?!? Gimme a f***ing break! I'm guessing the Leather jacket then is 799$ or 1200$ even.... I am still waiting for a pop-up store for Armored Saint so I can do some shopping!

What a cool Stones store

Thank you so much for doing this! I was very curious what those pop-up stores offered and looked like and now I know. ( .. and knowing is half the battle.) I am enjoying the album too and love that these guys are still rocking! It is awesome.

For me they’re like mini museums inside. The merch is just the icing on the cake.

Thank you for showing this Scandinavian Stones fan that cool Rolling Stones pop-up store. We don’t get cool stuff like that here. I actually haven’t gotten my Stones records yet, amazon Germany is terribly slow all of a sudden. Friend of mine in Ohio has ordered me a copy of one of their MLB vinyl editions!

I’ve always appreciated that about the city. If something is touring or only hitting major cities, there is a good bet it will hit NYC. I try to take advantage of these types of unique experiences when I can….and of course share them with all of you!

It’s a awesome store. Guess you haven’t seen the Stones as you say you don’t have any shirts by them. Be sure to catch them next summer on tour.

They opened a pop-up store here in Brussels as well (wonder if they have specific merch for Europe?), but I won't have the time to check it out... Quite expensive, though! Cheers.

The RS trademark tongue did actually appear once on an album cover. The 2012 compilation titled "GRRRR!!" showed it on the mouth of the gorilla. And I do believe it was on the cover of the 40 Licks compilation which came out in 2002. As far as being on the cover of an original studio album, you and the person who brought up this topic may be right. $60 for a tee? That's crazy to the nth degree. I got my Stones tee at Kohl's for less than $15, and that was 5 or 6 years ago. I'd sooner wait for Hot Topic's Black Friday band tee deals. I could never pay $60 for a tee. That's just me.

Yeah Pop Ups are definitely becoming a thing more now, its a good idea if you can get it, David Bowie had one in 2022 that was amazing in Soho I hit that up a few times, I will be going to this, this ironically is also a reason a lot of stores got limited stock on stuff they wanted you going to this. there have been a few others here in NYC, Olivia Rodrigo did one here for her album release and it shut down blocks because people thought she was in there lol.

I agree. But as a pop-up store that was only in NYC for a couple weeks. If they stocked it like a real store they would never sell half of it and be stuck with it at the end. Keep in mind that these pop-up stores are really just meant as promotion and advertisement to keep the band’s name in the public eye. So they act more as something to go see than something that is meant to sell tons of product and turn a profit like a real store.

I can't imagine the cost of the rent + paying the folks working there. I wonder if it would have been more profitable selling all that merch on their website.

Trust me they’re making buckets of cash. But it’s also about promotion. The store is a living breathing 24/7 commercial. Then you have all the people posting and doing news stores on it. This is not a money losing venture nor is it simply about selling merch. You’ve got to see it for the bigger picture that it is.

I used to live in NYC for 23 years but a year ago move to New Jersey. I still commute in for work so I’m in NYC each day.

No it definitely does not. But you can visit the band’s website and get some of the stuff.

That’s right! I knew I wasn’t in the wrong when I questioned why the tongue didn’t appear on the new album cover for Hackney Diamonds.

A good question is What Happens to thevunsold merch when the Pop Up closes on 10/29/23? Especially if it was specifically designed for this location?

It’s not all designed for this location. Only the two vinyl editions of the album that are designed around the local baseball teams. The rest of the merch is available at their store in London. So I’m sure it will go back to their store.

Yeah that would be cool but so far Aerosmith has never been a big merchandising band. I think if they had a new album out they could do it. But just for a Farewell Tour probably wouldn’t draw that many people.

Yeah I went there yesterday and those shirts just are too much, a lot of them are on their site or very similar for about $20-30 dollars less so I stuck with getting a vinyl limited edition NY Mets version and then went to Barnes and Noble and got the digipack exclusive to B&N so they say it is, but its got actually band photos in the booklet as opposed to the standard cd

Barcelona are sponsored by Spotify on their shirts Spotify have done a deal with the stones and Barcelona For the derby game on the 28th oct, Barcelona will wear the stones lips logo on their shirts

That’s the prices these days. When was the last time you were at a concert? Anything from a band’s website…an official item, $40, $50, $60 is not out of the ordinary. It’s sad, but that’s the reality.

@@BrendonSnyder Last show I went to was Tool in 2022 and for the first time ever, I passed on buying a shirt at the show. It was $45 and I decided not to....I understand that's the going rate, but it's ridiculous in my opinion and especially so for shirts which are only printed on one side. I'm not criticizing you or anyone who buys them, but for me, it's enough.
