I spent two years in El Salvador, almost fifty years ago. I really enjoy these travelogues. I only spent perhaps a day in Suchitoto. It sure looks better than I remember. It’s been thirty years since I was last in El Salvador and can only hope that life has gotten better for its people.

Every time I go to El Salvador,I have to visit Suchitoto. I used to live there for few years and is always spectacular,beautiful,and peaceful.

I’m from El Salvador but live in Kansas. I was in Suchitoto years ago. It is truly a lovely village!

@@ThatExpatMom I have not been back. Just turn 50. My mom brought me to the USA wend I was 11 I. The middle of the war. 39 years in the US I have family here wife, kids, and now my grand baby. Is hard to make a trip over not to mention I have horses you know doesn’t type of pets don’t wait for food or stall payments. But still the country I look for 1 day. Hi Magikal we are raising our children to be bilingual 😊 I was born in California but my husband and all our daughters were born and raised in El Salvador 💙 I'm the only odd one out. El Salvador is our home. Fun fact Phoenix has never even been outside of El Salvador.

Suchitoto is my mother's birthplace. We love to go there when i am in El Salvador. Its a nice town to get away from the horror of what the city of San Salvador has become. Its peaceful, clean, and just relaxing

It really is gorgeous... And hot 🔥 I really don't remember it being this hot when we've gone during the rainy season previously but this has been a very odd rainy season and much hotter than usual in general. Even with the heat it is a must see location for sure it's just important to be mindful of the sun.

Next time May suggest takimg the Ferry to Chalatenango late in the afternoon. And stay for some carne Asada, música in the Plaza next to the Cathedral.
