I heard you say you don’t normally do the chaos of the new bins but it was so exciting for me to see! My bin don’t do change out throughout the day. They change bins on Wednesday and Friday mournings, that’s it. SC and NC bins suck.

I was thinking about that the other day… and I really think you have more opportunities to find items if you go earlier.. but since they bring out new bins allll day.. you still have good opportunity to find stuff (at least at my bins all day) And the new new stuff that comes out too - since you are ‘first pick’ you do get some better stuff.. you just have to deal with the chaos …. Which is not my favorite 😅 People are throwing stuff, breaking stuff… it gets crazy!

So - evidently there is no particular time that is better than another. I would have thought that the best time would be first there in the AM. But you said you usually get there after2. Also is there a better day to go? Or is it all just a matter of luck of the day? So can you clarify if there is any better time to get to the bin stores? I am learning when our local goodwill puts out their new products but so far have not been to a bin store. Going to fix that next week. My granddaughter wants to go and I think we will have a blast.

I think you get more options in the AM… but for years I went after 2:00PM and still found really great stuff. I also have been frequenting on Mondays just because it has a ton of donations from the weekend garage sales/estate sales that people drop off. But I have had success almost any day of the week. Weekends are the worst though, because it is really saturated with people and just SUPER busy!

So curiosity question when looking stuff up. If you think something maybe sitting a while so you get it. Or is it a case by case basis. I saw some plates that have good sold prices but seems to not sell very frequently

I don’t have an issue with things sitting for a while, personally. But I also have the room to have a large amount of inventory. If someone maybe has less room and needs to flip fast to make more room quickly .. they may shy away from the slow sells.
