Should have gone with Doorly’s, it’s a brand from Foursquare that is only available at total wine. It’s not a knock off brand, most of Doorly’s is sold in Europe.

I would never pay more than $40 for rum or vodka. Your not drinking it neat.

Tons of rums are made for drinking neat. Just avoid stuff with additives and fake age statements.

Mount Gay just tastes flat, the flavor notes are almost absent Smith and Cross is very good. For it to be over proof it is definitely a quality sipping rum.
