it is so crazy to see all you're kids all grown up. I still remember when Emmi would just smile at the camera all the time.

Colette your intro really hit all the right notes with how I've been feeling about myself. Thank you for the wise words and saying "we don't need to should on ourselves" really struck a chord with me. Love that your family is back vlogging regularly and it's crazy that it has been over ten years and you guys are still as inspirational as ever.

I was flipping through youtube finding something to watch one day that was 6 years ago or 7 years ago I can't believe I'm still watching them. It was Shays energy and positive that has kept me watching all these years including even coming back through all the rumors and dark times he went through with his personal life they stopped vlogging for the longest time. Been watching since I was around 9/10 and I’m 21 now! I hold my imaginary phone the ‘old’ way but mime taking a selfie instead of a holding an actual camera- I think Emmi is right that the phone call thing and the “call me” that we see in movies is never done any other way lol

Hey Shay! Tomorrow morning, I’m running my 30th 1/2 marathon! It is the 50th Anniversary Derby in Louisville Ky. I have a total of 70 races now. I always tell people, you are the one who inspired me to try running. I’m 10 years into it now. You and Colette should come next year! Love to have ya. We get to run through Churchill Downs.

The phone thing, in my brain, is because of the shape of the phones, we actually hold them both pretty similar (back then and now ) I never held a rotary phone with my thumb and finger out like that lol Colette, I hope we all get to hear All too well when you learn it!!

I have those debates with family and friends so much, cause I’m born in 97 so technically that’s the start of gen z but I relate more to millennials and those two experiments you did i do the answering the phone and taking a photo the first way not the way the new generation does😄

I'm like a couple years older than Emmi and I think our generation is the between generation. We were raised by millenials in a time when social media was just a tiny sprout growing ever so slowly. By the time social media took over, we were already big enough to think. So our answers would probably be closer to that of our parents because I remembered having a house phone, tv that needs a slap everyonce in a while and those old school cameras you hold with one hand 😅

Colette has to be one of the wisest, most emotionally intelligent people on this planet. I am just amazed by her !

That test thing at the end. In my house my sister and I are from the 90s same for the cousins. Even those from 2000s at some point. 100% my parents and grandparents would do the same. The Youngest cousins I have are 5 years old so they are the only one I think might answer with palm spread as a phone :). We had a rotary dial phone when we lived with my grandma and then at our house we had a cable wall phone with digits. :P

If you asked me to do the camera. I'd do it oldschool way because I grew up in the 90's. But the phone I'd go full selfie cause I was a teenager in the late/early 200's

I'm older than all of you ~ yet i answered the phone like Collette and took a photo like Brock. Thinking about it after, i bring the photo thing down to this... I am an older single Mum of two kiddults. If one of us don't take the photo with us all in it selfie style then someone misses out or we double up. If i am out and about and want to photograph myself with something, I don't have a partner to take that photo, so i selfie it. Can i claim flexible learning style ha!
