I think this format is going to be so much fun! We are going into a triangle format blue-yellow-green. Each having a strong matchup into one color but weaker into the other. While no particular matchup is unwinnable

I enjoy the control style with trunks, obviously as you said sickle, absolute lightning and Zeno are pretty much mandatory blue cards, but do you feel vegeta 5c, or goku black 6c are better cards in the control style deck? And any tips when playing against green? Is a control deck just going to lose? Do you have to try to play it more agro or is there a way you can out grind and bottom deck all their threats? I wish I had more time to play test but unfortunately I have very limited time so I can only make time for theory

I’m messing with super low to the ground trunks the last few days to try. Getting two to three 2c FT swings turn after turn is fun as hell now that I’m not just trying to stay alive against topku

Goku Black is fun but sometimes the hand can brick, if you highroll you have a chance.

I think you'd be surprised. It got a LOT of help and all you need to do is see Mai + Pilaf or double Mai in the first 2 to 3 turns of the game and you're set

ive been playing blue vegeta with the gotenks package. i find it to be really awsome but ive noticed the rise of cel and 17/18 again so ill probably switch to GB

Have you been using the 4 drop SSJ3 Goku with the 3/4 drop gotenks? Cuz they conveniently put 3 Saiyans in your hand giving you an extra 55k swing for free at turn 4.

I've been using those three to great effectiveness, but after that turn Goku is a big giant target that your opponent will spend a lot of resources to avoid getting hit like that again lol. All their attention is on that, just in time for double -strike Vegeta to come clean up the last life or two

If you pay attention to the hand count, you can bounce between 7 and ten cards or more. Just be sure to do all the 7 or less things at the right time. But essentially don't count the recycled gotanks/trunks/gotten in your 7 hand count

Anyone got any tips on fighting against Android 17 as Trunks(or blue in general)? I feel like I go 50/50 at least with the other green leaders, but 17 feels strong late game AND mid game. Most other green leaders give you more time b4 the pressure is on. That 4c 17/18 is crazy. He ramps and refunds 3 energy. The board being swarmed with 20k 4c and 2c is a pain b4 you even get to the 8c boss cards.

No doubt to your skill, I'm just currently wondering about the Green players in question. Cuz Zamasu is incapable of killing Green early. This should be their most free matchup

@@UniXTCG considering i just turtle up at 8 life until around 6, then just take the big hits where i can. After that point i just reset their board constantly until i can finish with Vegito or goku black

I think goku black is probably the best blue right now since he can kinda keep up with green

If you can highroll all rounds sure, but even with the new cards the highroll still needs to be there

It used to be a question of IF Goku Black got off. Now it's a matter of when. Turn 4? 5? Or did they go second and get it on 3? It's way more consistent than it used to be and Red not being as popular helps it alot.

@UniXTCG yeah definitely I did play it the other day and got very unlucky to not open my at all so there is still some chance of low rolling but all in all deck feels complete now

Goku Black is basically just fair topku. It's doing the same thing as Kefla with the 6 drop goku black, just a bit slower

The format as a whole is slower now. And Goku Black may have the highest top end in the game rn vs how early it can reach it

I have played Goku Black since release and it was always a fun deck. I don't think people gave it enough credit for the consistency it got from set 2. Your high roll potential is much higher now and the deck still functions with a slow start, which it really didn't before. I don't think people could see it through topku meta because topku was just too good

Goku black and vegeta can hard counter cell and anrdpid by rushing them down hownever indo feel like gohan and broly will have a place because they can put atuff to your enegry for free

I think the same about Vegeta and Goku Black. Idk about Broly though. The 7 cost takes up a whole turn. Gohans 3 drop though is a definite option to remove 3 drop Vegeta tho
