Hi. Just found you guys. (Caught up on all your videos now.) I have a suggestion. On videos where you speed up the content, make sure to put small video clips of you talking every 5 minutes or so. This will discourage people from just forwarding through the video. When they see you talking, they will be more apt to watch the whole thing. Liz, both you and Micah are photogenic and are well spoken I know you are going to be a great channel to watch! Congrats on your 1k subs! Thanks! - Bo

LIGHTING BRUSH FIRES: we used a mixture of diesel and gasoline, after dousing the pile, we drizzled a wee trail toward the wind, several feet from the pile, put the contaier far up wind, then with the breeze to our back, struck/ flung a kitchen match to the end of the drizzle trail of mixture. Lot safer than being close to saturated brush 😮😮😮😅😊

We were safe. Camera angle tells a different story. We used a mixture of diesel and gasoline but I use hurricane matches as they burn much slower and are resistant to wind.
Thanks for a great video, love following your journey. I am a 60 year old Swedish woman who was born and rased on a dairy farm, been a single mom to two kiddos, a pree school teacher as a profession...kids and animals are my passion 😍❤ I always think that when I get an opportunity to share my knowledge with kids or if I don't know the answer to find out together, I want to do so. Here I am thinking you could teach the kids how to for example make the worms stay alive until fishing. I just want to very humble point out that I believe in from very early age show how you can make living creatures keep on living if that is what you want I mean. My experience of running a private daycare plus having my own kids is that those golden moments means so much, to be able to find out things together. If you want to as an adult life is full of opportunities to help children understand connections in so many ways. Sorry for me rambling, I don't mean anything bad or that you have done something wrong at all! I just have found out that sometimes we miss golden moments that are free. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you for sharing your life so I get to be a small part. I thought the live was great! Life is about learning, how fun would it be if we knew everything from the start hahaha.

We had a great time talking about tadpoles and how they grow into frogs etc 🥰 I give them the tools they need to keep them alive but they aren’t always the most gentle or careful things don’t always go quite as planned 🤪 so glad you are here and following our journey!

Wonder if it might be a bit easier to dig a small farm pond where those trenches were holding water, might be spring or creek fed. Earth worms means good soil for planting. You will probably not have to get much if any soil for gardening.
@blacksheepprojecthomestead

Anne, interesting thing is that’s the way the whole property is. We can’t dig over two feet without hitting water. We can put a pond anywhere. A spring is definitely a possibility. If you watch the power pole video you may notice we didn’t mix that concrete we used. That’s because it was 1/3 full of water. Soooo, yea…..and our earth worms are huge. You’re right, the soil is good.
Great audio. Nice video.

I played in ponds as a child a lot. Our main past time, frog eggs, tad poles, frogs. So much fun. And yes, looked for worms We would lay boards down just to create a nice place for the searching for worms. I will skip the part when we were (spelling) siferling (with a hose) and guess who got a mouth FULL of green slime!! And searching for night crawlers was a blast with my kids. We would go to a local base ball field right after a rain was the best to go. Happy hunting kiddos.

It won’t mix. You will see.
I didnt know that water and electricity can be buried together?
@eunicehenderson9095
28 күн бұрын
If you look it up, I believe the water can be at the bottom and the electric can be above the water line. Also the electric needs to be inside conduit.
