I like the way you are using the inktense ,I have them have not used them for ages .I’m definitely going to use my pencils and now have some inktense blocks . It’s a lovely effort. Keep those pictures coming , I’m really inspired 😀

This is beautiful. Can't wait to see it finished.😊 Backgrounds intimidate me because the first picture I ever coloured I started with the background and it looked horrendous.😁 I've only just started using things like stickles thanks to your videos. I love them.

Thank you! 😊 Although I like doing backgrounds they do stress me out sometimes, that’s why I like to get them out of the way and do them first. You shouldn’t give up on backgrounds though because you will get better the more you practice. Happy colouring!

You will love the Inktense pencils, they are so pigmented and vibrant. Thanks so much for your lovely comment 💕

It looks fine. After it dries you can add a little of any color you think it might needs. Tip do you light colors first with the water brush then go to your dark or into the dark. Blot off any colors you don't want mixing. You get more pure color that way. Hope it helps you. Looking forward to the next one.

It looks awesome! I don't have this book but i can certainly use the technique elsewhere! Haven't seen anyone using inktense. I have a set of 12. For me the only way to learn how to use them is to Use them. haha! Your video will be a Big help. Thanks so much and have a fabulous day!

Thank you so much Valerie. Yes, I totally agree with you, you just have to be brave and go for it. When I started using the Inktense on the page I was thinking this is going to look awful but you just have to keep going and hope for the best. That’s how it is with some of my pages, I feel like I don’t like how it is coming out but then some time later I think it looks quite good. Got to hang in there!

I bought this book after your flip through, feel a bit overwhelmed by the intricate images, but about time i coloured in it..thanks for yet more inspiration x

I stopped buying colouring books for this very reason. I find that colouring book pages have so much detail to colour that I switched focus and started buying rubber stamps instead to colour. The stamped images are smaller and have less detail to colour. However, I still love to watch other people’s coloring pages and books.

Hope you enjoy it! I just focus on parts of the image and work on those bit by bit. I personally like the challenge that an intricate image gives but I appreciate that we all like different things. You can do it!

I think you could do it with any coloured pencil but it would be less work with say, any watercolour pencils as the colours would merge together more easily. Thanks so much for watching

I too am looking forward to part 2,but before then how has the ink from the pencils effected the flip side of this page? I would never have thought of using such highly pigmented pencils on this book so I’m really curious,Thankyou K ❤️

No bleed through or shadowing at all, it is absolutely fine. Just don’t use too much water and it will be fine. Inktense and watercolour have rarely bled through for me on medium thickness paper like Kerby’s and Johanna’s books. Thanks so much for watching Lynn!

Do you sharpen your Inktense into a pallet or saucer and add water to the bits of lead? I find it good and there is no waste. I really love your background idea

I have just ordered the book. I have a set of Inktense and I got as far as swatching them and decided i didn't like them and they have sat in my storage unit unused for 5 years. May give them a go having watched this. Can I ask, did you get bleed through onto the next page?

No bleed through whatsoever! I definitely recommend you give them another go, Inktense are beautiful pencils and give great results in my opinion!

I have the Arteza water brushes...still in the package and unused...what are the Zig brushes like?
