Here for being our authentic selves and not feeling like we "should" be doing something because other people are. Can't wait to see what you do with your videos!

It is challenging to do things consistently with chronic pain issues.. sometimes my schedule gets throw off for a few weeks just because of that. It's so frustrating but you're right - the pressure we put on ourselves just adds to the anxiety and actually makes it worse... but we can only try and do our best to stay true to ourselves and I think that's a great goal for 2024. 😊

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I lost mine in September of last year, and it has altered my world in ways I'm still grappling with. It's so good to hear that you're figuring out what is authentic to you. Looking forward to seeing where that takes you! ❤

These are such awesome goals for your channel! I completely know what you mean. When I started my channel last November, all I did was Vlogs that were literally nothing fancy- just me reading whatever I wanted, and walking around outside lol. It took me over 9 months to reach 100 subscribers, but I did it all at my own pace, I never felt burnt out, and the people that did end up subscribing were so kind and they continue to watch my videos to this day. I agree, the algorithm sucks, and being happy while doing BookTube is so important otherwise it turns into a chore. ✨ Also, I’m so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. It’s so sad to lose a grandparent! 😔

First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope you are taking care of yourself however you need to! Personally, the videos I love to watch the most are people who are reading things they like, and are enthusiastic about what they're reading. And I love seeing people talking about books I haven't heard of before! I think this is a great plan of yours and I can't wait to see what you talk about in future.

I'm excited to see what sort of videos you start posting because everything you were talking about wanting to make sounded wonderful! The booktube girlies are fun and enviable and all, but the people I end up watching are the people who seem to be having fun and reading what they want, instead of watching 69 people all talk about the same book 😅. Chill vlogs where you're reading what brings you joy and that viewers maybe haven't heard about multiple times sounds A+

Everything that you described as what you want to do with the channel sounds wonderful to me. I think most of your viewers here would agree that we want you to be authentic and make content that you want to make, that's what drew us here in the first place. Even if it takes longer for your audience to grow, it will be an audience more worth having. I am sorry you have had such a turbulent end of 2023/start of 2024. Happy Birthday! Just discovered your channel and I love the vibes! I totally get you about feeling the pressure to create vlogs that have a specific and interesting TBR! I like watching those videos, but they’re so difficult to make! Especially because it usually takes me about three weeks to finish a book. Creating a video where I read multiple books is just a process of months. And I like a good casual, low stakes vlog! I’m definitely sticking around to see what you make next 😊

I can't stop looking at your frog shaped candle holder SO CUTE. And I totally feel you on making content that you want to make versus what you feel like you ~should~ be making. I haven't posted a ton of videos and a lot of it is the pressure of "no one will want to watch this" BUT maybe making the stuff that you truly want to make outweighs that.
