LET'S CHAT: College, Cov!d, and NNN

I'm so angry last week's episode of SNL straight up turned me into a Timothée Chalamet stan
I'd avoided that train for so long and they put him next to Pete Davidson and now I'm hooked
Anyway! Tell me about your favorite music! Or anything else going on in your week! How's your break going? Mental health down the drain? Mine too lel
I hope you all are doing well. Tell me about your lives/how you've been dealing with social distance (which I hope you're doing 🥺)... I've been writing lotsa music hehe

man the idea of classes having a group chat is so wild to me. wild how connected technology and school is now and how fast it has happened. I graduated high school in 2015 and we still barely had a smart board

I can't believe that me subscribing to a straight-up random commenter on a J&A video I thought was funny led me to stumble upon a channel with a seemingly open ended leftish ideology i agree with more than almost anyone in current politics(although tbh how many real progressive icons are there in national politics to begin with). I'm also politically somewhere stuck in the middle between you and Cody. I agree that progressive ultimatums like Defund the Police are aggressive and not necessarily easily palatable to all, but at the same time, most progressive values are unpalatable/uncomfortable when compared to most conservative values because they're by definition and tradition taught to be the default position people choose unless confronted. By this logic then progressives have to be the people that confront comfortable/traditional ideas, and while I'd love to hear an endearing way to tell someone their traditional ideas are incorrect I haven't figured out how to do it so far. Idk basically what I'm saying is how are you supposed to kindly convince someone who's on the conservative side of things to listen to your argument without them immediately disregarding you before you can finish your sentence? (I hope this doesn't seem combative towards you I'm just genuinely asking if you have any alternate ideas you think may work) PS if you do choose to make a vid(s) about (the alt-right pipeline) feel free to make yourself more upset by learning about WhiteDate(dot)net if you haven't already, spoiler alert the more you look into it the more you'll realize it's a whites only dating site seemingly owned by Germans, with the reasoning as to why their site is made for whites only being straight up eugenics.

    1) My heart 🥺 that's so cute oml 2) Confession: I'm a lot further left than I let on in most of my videos lol-- I run all my political scripts by two moderate people to make sure I don't _come off_ too radical-- not unlike a lot of alt-right pundits, except they do it because they secretly want gen0c!de and I do it because if I immediately identify as a radical, I'll lose the attention of people I want to radicalize oops And I say all that because I definitely agree with everything you said! Politically, I'm also somewhere between me and Cody lmao You're right; at their core, progressive ideology centers around change and conservative ideology centers around keeping things as they are, the latter of which is easier and seems more comfortable to many people. And there's definitely a line to tread in terms of how much we want to coddle conservatives; slave owners opposed abolition, racists opposed integration, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't have done those things. I have a family member who's very far right (they'll never admit it, they claim to be a centrist but they believe in Qanon and are hugely racist), and what I've found, both through talking to them and studying the alt right, is that in many cases we agree on the problems this country faces. We just disagree on why they exist and how to treat them. Like, one concept I saw in a debate once was a construction worker complaining about how he and his coworkers lost their jobs to undocumented immigrants who would work for less than minimum wage. To him, the problem was that undocumented ppl come in and steal jobs from working class people, but to the leftist he was debating (and to me immediately upon hearing this), the issue is that employers are looking to pay their employees as little as possible and are actively exploiting and underpaying undocumented people- oy vey this is getting long lmao I'll try to talk about that in my next video hehe Also thank you for the website rec; I love making myself upset by immersing myself in the far right internet lmfao
