Well said Andy about this music family. Glad you both enjoyed my latest share. Now the challenge of what to share next. So many choices. Do I stay in the ‘80s? Some American punk or post punk? Husker Du? Minor Threat? Something Los Angeles? The Three O’Clock? Or a then and now combo of an early song of The Blasters and a recent song of Dave Alvin?
Decent track, enjoyed the show, cheers all.
Nice choice guys! added to my "vinyl wanted" list

Good luck.
This was from 1983 approximately. Mitch Easter the guitarist, singer and songwriter also produced R.E.M's first E.P.'s at his Georgia studio.

Hey J.Kev, thanks for your comment. Yes, we covered the first R.E.M. EP: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aYJ-yJOPXbDJYJs.html Cheers, Jon.
Superior choice. To be honest, you could pull out almost anything from Let’s Active (or any Mitch Easter for that matter.) It’s perfect quirky pop. My personal favorite is Every Word Means No, but they are all magic. As a side note Mitch was a great producer but his engineer for many recordings was Don Dixon and Dixon’s solo work is really tasty as well, if somewhat more traditional.

Correction: Dixon didn’t engineer; he coproduced with Easter the first two REM LPs, and a host of other bands by himself. In fact, he was both the label’s and Nirvana’s first choice to produce Nevermind. He didn’t end up doing it because his price was too high. Dixon said later that it would not have been as good if he had produced it rather than Butch Vig.
Enjoyable song . Their song Every word means No received a decent amount of airplay. I always was on board with his vocals, really like the tone of his voice. Very much in the same vein, music 2024 Ducks ltd- Train full of Gasoline kzread.info/dash/bejne/hpNsyM-cc7eqlqg.htmlsi=j8creXg0mPME-w2W
