It's really sad to me.. Gray Wing is the perfect cat. He loves everyone, he knows what's right, and he just wants everyone to be happy and healthy and loved. He loves Clear Sky even after all that's happened, he loved Slate and his kits even though he wasn't able to raise them, he loves Thunder like a son and his adopted kits of Turtle Tail's.. Gray Wing is probably the most loving and lovable cat in the entire Warriors franchise.

I know right?! I always felt so bad for him. He had so much loss and struggle with his Tribe, his siblings and mother, the cats he loved and basically every kit he came across. I remember how much i felt for him after the Battle and when he went away with River Ripple to his island. I just want this sweet boy to be happy darn it :(((

That’s definitely like one of my favorite lines in the books

I love the fact that arguably the most important character in DOTC wasn’t even a founder of the Clans and that his name was almost completely lost to history. Really shows how things can get lost in time.

The ending of Path of Stars was so sad. Gray Wing finally got kits of his own and he couldn’t be there to watch them grow up (in person) And poor Slate, they just became mates and had kits and then Gray Wing died. Gray Wing should have been a leader, he deserves more recognition for everything he did for the clans.

this made me cry. So did turtle tails death. And after all the deaths in the first battle. This book was deep. All the rest of the warriors books I never cried once. For ANY other death.

After all these books and all this death, Gray Wing remains the only cat I’ve cried over. He loved much and was loved in return, but so many cats took him for granted and I felt he deserved more than they gave him. But he had a good life, I just wish he’d been able to see his lots grow up. He is the one that made me fall in love with Windclan and helped me realize just what was wrong with the clans. He was amazing and I absolutely fell in love with this kind hearted character almost instantly. He would very much want Clear Sky to be happy too, despite all the bad things that he did, so I could very much see him being concerned for his brother and looking out for him from the stars.

I took pride in the fact that I Warriors had never made me cry (I had teared up slightly from Bluestar, Russetfur and Ferncloud, but never properly cried). But today I finished Dawn of the clans and Gray Wing finally got me

Gray wing is definitely my favourite warrior cat. He forgives everyone and treats them like family, yet his story never lived on past his death. He deserves so much more. Edit: I usually don’t cry in warrior cats but when Gray wing died I had to squeeze my cat half to death! (Not literally, I just hugged her)

I normally dont get emotional with anything, but this map really reminded me of everything Clear Sky and Grey Wing had and they both lost and left behind. Grey Wing left si much behind but he ha always done what he thought was right and what would benefit others than what would benefit himself. Grey Wing was a kind, gentle minded cat and didnt deserve what happened to him. He will never be forgotten.

Everybody says Firestar was a legend. And its true. But everyone knows that when one story begins, another one needs to end. Trough the history of the clans, Gray Wing was forgotten. Even tho he was still in Starckan the entire time until he got reborn as Graystripe. He was a legend that had a painfull, cruel and slow death. He deserved better and will always be in our hearts.

I loved seeing Gray Wing briefly reuniting with his loved ones- it was touching to see him also embrace Lightning Tail as a son ^ ^

"I have traveled so far and loved so much... and yet, I am still following the sun trail..." "heading for my new hunting grounds."

How dare you make me cry again

I have a love hate relationship with Clearsky- I feel bad for him but it didn’t excuse his actions. Gray wing is one of my most favorite cats on the other hand, he made the decision to go after Jaggedpeak at the cost of losing the place he loved. He was level headed, and tried to calm everyone down and make the right decisions, and when the cats he loved left to go to another territory or love their own lives, he let them and was happy for them. But- like all beautiful, wonderful, amazing characters in the Warrior Cats franchise, he got a disease, athsma •_• to where he could no longer run as fast as he wanted to, it got worse and worse. He was a brave bean and he had to go save everybody by running, like Starflower for example. So it got worse, and the sad thing is, he lost Turtletail and had to bear the pain of still loving her while having Slate as a mate. Turtletail was another good character just trying to save her kits and she got killed, STUPID TOM!! Gray wing died when his kits were still young, not even 6 moons, which made me cry at his death, I was like, REEEEEEE NOO

One eye attacked Sparrow fur and Tom blocked him. He died fighting One eye. The cat who stole his kits from their mother, had proven his love for his kits by sacrificing himself.

i always loved gray wing. he never wanted to become leader, only serve his clan and be the best warrior he could be to serve them. having to patiently deal with clear sky, having to see his adopted kit (thunder) grow up and leave him, seeing his brothers and family drift and tear apart, and dealing with his breathing problems, yet he still made sure everyone was happy and well fed. this map is absolutely beutiful, love everything about it.

The reincarnations: Grey wing- Greystripe Thunder star- Firestar Turtle Tail- Spottedleaf Windstar- Longtail Dove’s wing- Dovewing Jay’s wing- Jayfeather Lion’s roar- Lionblaze And so many more but I can’t remember all of their names

You have no idea how much I adore this MAP. I love how ClearSky sees GreyWing as both an extreme comfort and an issue. It shows the contrast in their relationship and ClearSky’s uncertainty in basically everything. He is always anxious and unsure, but GreyWing is the opposite. He envies and cares for his brother because GreyWing is such a spectacular character with amazing morals. He is very hard to dislike. ClearSky is shown as a “villain” too much in my opinion, this was a wonderful change of pace. Really loved everything. Favorite parts: 0:32 , 2:59 , 3:13

Dude, I just came here on a whim having no context on what was going on because I never read Dawn of the Clans (stopped after the fourt series), and idk why I'm so emotional and crying over this now. I feel like people really don't appreciate how much of a unique and interesting character Clear Sky is. There are a lot of Grey Wing type characters- who are just good. I also found turtle tail the most annoying cat- but anyways, Clear Sky really is a diamond in the rough.

This map brought back so many memories. One of my childhood songs. Thank you for giving a less well known song the map it deserves.
