0:08-0:11 is all I need! Those snare tones are perfect!

Saw this cat playing with Casey Donahue Band last Friday night. Hadn't seen nor heard Lester play live since the old Pillar days. Just like in this video and with CDB, he never overplays or underplays. He's just right there in pocket doing his job about as well as anyone. Total Professional!!

Those cymbal polyrhythms from 6:12! And then the madcap ending - single-foot kick rolls, insanely accurate, powerful speed fills... Absolutely spot on.

I've seen this many times and I love it every time! Thanks for the great drumming and being an inspiration! I have a question about something here...it seems like you're using a single pedal? If not, no need for my second question. If my guess is correct, though, and you're using a single pedal, how'd you do that triple hit at 7:06? Most people I've seen do that use a double. How'd you do three hits that fast (and hard enough to hear!) with one foot?

I wonder if Kelly really knew what she had behind the drums that night

Thanks man! its 7x14 acrylic tuned really low then muffled to death with gaff tape and moongel to get that 70s sound. Now Im using www.bigfatsnaredrum.com

Thanks for getting back to me man, means a lot. You really are an inspiration! I'm definitely going to order a pair of BFSD heads - if they work well enough for your live gigs with Kelly Clarkson I'm sure they'll save me some headaches in the home studio (and save me on duct tape for those '80s sounds i LOVE - yay #environment!)
