Lessons in Leadership: The Wire - Marlo Stanfield (Reupload)

Фильм және анимация

Had to re - upload this video due to a copyright issue on the original video!
Marlo Stanfield, ruthless drug kingpin, and self proclaimed King of Baltimore is a case study of what happens ambition becomes an obsession. Unfortunately the world is filled with many people, especially in the workplace.
Knowing how to spot and identify a Marlo type personality can help you survive their toxicity and perhaps even beat them at their own game.

A king needs two things to stay a king. Fear and respect. Marlo is what happens when you only have one of those things. Fierce while in power but soon forgotten when he gets taken off the board. Vinson was never Marlo's Equal though, when he was among his equals, not of them went against him or criticized him for the way he did things. Not Stringer, not Prop Joe or even their Lieutenants like Cheese (cause he liked it) or Slim (cause he disagreed with it but bided his time). No one else in the Co-Op even said anything despite the fact at the time they had the "protection" of the Co-Op while Prop Joe was the Head. If Prop Joe had been harder on Marlo and more importantly if Stringer had sided fully with Marlo and did the same, attacking Marlo from another angle at the same time that Avon hit him in the streets, then he would have been nipped in the bud much faster. Hell, Stringer could have hired Omar to take Marlo out like he tried to do with Brother, or Avon could have swallowed his pride and went to Omar himself but well we saw what happened.

dude, you are WAY off. Marlo is not weak or confused but the hardest, smartest player in the game. Michael didn’t sense any “projection” in Marlo because there wasn’t any. Marl9 recognized that Michael was principled and understood a man in the street game takes favors from no one, there’s ALWAYS a string attached. Marlo recognizes talent and brings him in. Snoop and Chris are loyal, able soldiers more dedicated and useful to Marlo than any other boss had. Prop Joe and Avon were both betrayed by their lieutenants while Marlo’s did their bids as he walked. Marlo Stansfield is the one and quite possibly the future King Of The Baltimore Drug Game.
