After buying a Bass VI and playing Back in the Saddle in my last video, I thought I would teach how to play the song. Joe Perry's parts that is.

Aerosmiths early albums are their best albums. I learned how to play the guitar from Aerosmith and my dad and I’m sure my siblings and mom got sick of me playing the lick over and over till I got it right back in the 80’s, only dad understood why I would play the same lick over and over. Great lesson!

My brother just bought me a Bass VI for my birthday and this was one of the first songs I played on it (the other was Spanked by Van Halen). What a cool hybrid instrument. You can be a straight bass (I have three other basses) or you can sound like Joe Perry did on this song and solo on it (I'm primarily a lead guitar player but I also am a bass player). No more having to use an octave pedal!
