A nice little kit. I have not used the Viviva colors, but hear good things about them. My urban sketching/watercolor kit is a bit bigger, but I don't fly with it. I have a 24 pan set of Art Whale watercolors, and two pen wraps. One wrap for fountain pens and sketch pencils and the other for a small collection of Prismacolor pencils. It all fits into a colorful small tote I can grab on my way out. I've painted on trains, in parks, in cafes, and on the street. It is plenty of fun. I don't paint as much as I used to due to work hours, but I still enjoy looking at other people's kits. Thank you for sharing yours with us.

I made a kit out of an old tin that had chocolates in it. I use small plastic containers to squeeze a dab of each color into. I think they are made for lip gloss, I got them at hobby lobby.

The watercolours you talked about are not very advertised this is the first I've heard of them

Thanks for asking Melanie! They are a small family owned company in India, so they don’t advertise like a US or European brand would. They have grown by allowing artists to share about how their paints work. But they are real and legitimate, and you can see them on Instagram, KZread, and Pinterest @vivivacolors. I talk more about them in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/emeWsK6bpLy7Zco.html Hope that helps!! 😊

Watercolor is not made with dyes. It's made with pigments. Ink is made from dyes.

Yes, you're right Margaret, and it makes these really unusual! They don't specify on the paint package if they are paints or inks, they just call them watercolors. So technically these are dyes, but for simplicity's sake, I call them watercolor paints when I talk about them because they can be diluted with water to paint with. 👍

Traditional, or "real", watercolors are made with pigments. However, there are some "watercolor paints" that are made with dyes. They wouldn't be considered traditional or "real" watercolor, but they work very similar to watercolors but are made differently. But are still called "watercolors" by the manufacturer and most consumers.

@@creativespark7371 Yes, exactly! These behave differently than traditional watercolors especially depending on the paper I use. 👍
