I AM ATHLETE Miami | Season 3: Episode 14
Brandon Marshall, Chad Johnson, D.J. Williams and Omar Kelly welcome 2x Super Bowl Champion, Lesean Mccoy to episode 14 of I AM ATHLETE Podcast. The group discusses a range of topics that ultimately lead to the controversial subject about Antonio Brown and the situation that led him to taking his pads off and leaving the field during a live game.
The cast start the show by bringing up the topic of women, and why they choose to go down the plastic surgery route when it comes to beauty. The conversation begins to take a turn from Antonio Brown to Tom Brady. Lesean explains how he believes Tom is the greatest football player to ever play, stating that he was a complete competitor and knew how to make an entire team better. Lesean says how he has never seen someone prepare the way Tom has.
Brandon talks about the Antonio Brown situation and says he needs to get some help in order to learn how to become emotionally intelligent. He relates this back to when he was a young player and didn’t know how to control his emotions which put a target on his back when it came to the league and the media. He really hopes that Antonio can figure out how to properly handle these situations, even if he is right in the conflict.

BRING SHADY BACK!!!! I loved every second of his ISHT talking, he is a true entertainer. (Side note: He looks like Cole from 'Martin'.) As one who does not follow football, this episode was educational. Some of the intricacies of contracts and the manner in which the owners manipulate the game to keep players from reaching their incentives was a revelation. This conversation made me reflect on the show 'Ballers' which I felt was an accurate depiction of some of the issues faced off the field. Lastly, on the topic of AB. All of you made great points about emotional intelligence and maturity when it comes to dealing with the business aspect. Many of us learn in retrospect because there was no one to teach us how to handle these mind phk situations in corporate spaces or ego/pride/stupidity made it impossible to listen to the sage advice of wiser individuals.

Shady was thinking too highly of himself and not paying respect to the ones that came before him. TBH Fred Taylor average more yards per carry for his career. He not even a better RB than Fred. He definitely ain’t on James level. I’m surprised they did not argue with him on this a little more. He had no more burst in KC and In Tampa never saw the field. He played with Mike Vick and a loaded offense In Philly and had some big years, but he ain’t no GOAT at all

@@jonathanrandolph9397 if you watch the film. Mccoy is definitely better than Fred. No disrespect. Mccoy had the most rushing yards for the 2010's decade and he was still productive without Vick. I mean he isn't the goat or even in the top 10 all time for running backs but he's in that top 20 convo all time. I do think he should pay more respect to those guys for sure and he was a bit full of himself but he was a beast no doubt about his skill. Most shifty back since Barry sanders

Good episode . The only thing i will say is that the difference with having Fred & Channing is, they don’t feel the need to “show out” for the camera. It’s such a genuine conversation with them & we could feel & see the chemistry. I feel like they weren’t even aware that cameras were in the room when they were all together. I’m really going to miss seeing that special group of black men sitting down together. They really had something special , it’s unfortunate other stuff got on the way. Best of luck to both IAA & The Pivot podcast.
