What a band!
I was sat in the audience that day and I have to say that performance made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck! Superb. What a band.
Doesn't surprise me this band won they were the best band ever in my opinion.

How did they get the name of the transcriber wrong? It’s Bram GAY!
Man, I never knew that a band can play this loud. This is quite a band. Also, Franz Liszt didn't write this piece for it to be this loud. If he heard this recording, he would tell them it is way too loud.
I take nothing away from the players or the performance, the opening was dark and delicious but that arrangement was rubbish. So many counter melodies missing. Why churn this lifeless rubbish out when Frank Wright's arrangement is a hundred times better.
Tempos all wrong. Fodens was robbed!
