Legit mechanic and legit driver. Cleetus is extremely lucky that James joined the channel, I would say James is the secret behind the camera when it comes to the elbow grease. Don't get me wrong, Cleetus works hard but James is like a dang encyclopedia for racing. I'm really glad to see them being successful, I think the new guy will also become more prominent and I would like to see him drive.

I did it once on my circle track k car long time ago and the clutch disk completely blew apart 😂😂 either his 2nd gear is very worn or the transmission is not built for that high of rpm. The way it refused to shift without grinding looked like a transmission issue since he is not releasing the clutch the only way it can shift smooth is the motor HAS to slow down to the right rpm for the next gear. Like driving a semi truck u gotta pause between gears to let the motor drop the shaft speed in the transmission to engage the next gear. Or his synchros are shot and they can't speed up the next gear to match the engine rpm to let the gear mesh. I honestly have not really seen no lift shifting in H pattern cars very often. Trevor at motionautotv has his civic no lift shift on a stock style transmission maybe he can help Garret out. But to me it seems either he needs a ignition cut to drop the rpm down just to where the gears will be the right speed in the Trans to engage quickly or his syncros are toast and he is trying to use friction alone to speed up the next gear to match the gear he is in. Like most transmission drop 500 rpm to shift and it's like he is trying to shift at 8000 rpm and the next gear has to speed up to 8000 instead of the shaft speed slowing to 7500.

@@stevenplaskett7728 that's a whole Lotta words for someone who's wrong😂 the Trans wouldn't go in because the ignition cut timing was off, if the driveline has power going through it shifting gets a lot harder, it's a face-plated gearset it works quite alot differently inside its just the h pattern shifter that's similar

As far as the stick shift record goes it doesn't seem right to do it with a slipper clutch. It's too similar to launch control. But then again I don't drag race so my opinion is as good as shit.

Of course Leroy ran his best pass, that guy with the Miata was talking smack to Cleeter in front of Leroy. Leroy ain't having ANY of that shit!!

It was great to see leroy out there kicking some ass! He did great for the first time out on radials

Doug's Nova is UNREAL clean. My goodness. Proud of all the boys and the cars. Stoked to see KSR on the channel again too, Kevin knows his stuff.

So nice Leroy got to shine again and be back in the 7s. He deserved it after all his hard word to help this channel grow.

Leroy still sounds the best out of the whole fleet.
