That guitar solo at 5:07 - 5:43 is incredibly tight. Doesn't quite unleash into all-out shredding but it doesn't need to. The restraint serves the melody so well and sets the song up for the epic outro.

@Zach Peach Fortunately, Baard plays a lot lighter, with only the two drum fills and largely focusing on ghost notes for this segment of the song, which is what makes it resonate so strongly with me. I had an LSD experience about a month back and it was a "bad" trip. This song was playing as I was confronting my PTSD from prolonged isolation due to 3 and a half years of severe autoimmune disease and it was as if this was holding me together. I remember thinking that the whole time of my autoimmunity I should've at least been therapy because of the trauma I had endured and then as soon as 6:46 started I said to myself, "Oh... This is therapy..." It was a dark subtle truth that hit much softer than I thought. But gratefully I've since healed about half a year ago. Confronting trauma is no joking matter and I'm grateful for Leprous making the music they've created. It's been my wire nonetheless. Thank You.

Absolutely incredible what Leprous manages to accomplish. Harmonically, rhythmically, visually, performance - bloody incredible.

The light show is incredible, what an experience! They made such a great choice going with Adam Noble to mix Pitfalls. What he did on the album version of this was so unique and so different to how most of the metal scene would have mixed it, and it's clearly translating to how they approach their live sound too with the distorted ringy snare in the outro etc mixed with their choice of cleaner guitar tones in moments where others would go straight for high gain. A truly progressive band doing something original

Finally a good quality live version! I didn't get this song at first having heard only studio version. Solid song, but I didn't understand this a bit too long ending that felt like it was part of something else. But after experiencing (key word since you cannot see it, hear it of feel it but one must experience it) this performed live I totally get it. Usually after any good gig you think they could play this or that song but you just go on with your life. But when they were closing gig in Krakow with this gem, loosing their sh*t with choreographed-like headbanging I remember wishing they will continue for at least half an... forever

I think exactly the same. I found the end dragging, and the vocal line too monotonous. Then I experienced it live and it clicked. The song builds and builds tension, safe for a momentary release with the guitar solo, and the ending hits you like an earthquake. It's like watching a massive red giant explode in slow motion, magnificent, powerful, inesorable.

Hearing this song on the album was amazing to begin with, but seeing it live was absolutely mind-boggling. I love the aggression in Einar's voice and the way he seems to want to outrun the instruments. I remember, after the outro finished and all that was left was the cello and the choir, I felt like I was suspended in mid-air, floating, wondering whether this has truly just happened. Never experienced something like this on any other concert I've been to.

Looking through their discography, it blows my mind how we got from Silent Water to Aeolia, than Tall Poppy Syndrome and Bilateral, then Coal and The Congregations, Malina, than Pitfalls and Aphelion. The diversity is MADDENING NUTS! I love this song though I can't help but crave more of the wackiness of SW, Aeolia, TPS, and Bilateral, especially with Einar's keys. Some of the weirdest but ear catching sounds I've ever heard were produced in that era of Leprous LMAO. Still, long live Leprous, absolutely love this live show! Let this band show off for many more years!

I always love the prodigious transformation Einar makes when he's performing live. From this introvert and modest speaker, in between songs, to this amazingly energetic character when he is singing. Also, I absolutely love their creativity using new instruments in the new tracks. For example, the inclusion of the cello in the Malina (and Pitfalls) live performance was the move of a music genius (I secretly hope to see a Leprous release of a live Malina-track performance). Can't wait until their next album :).
