Lepaseree on kooslus, mis ühendab endas kolme põneva taustaga eesti muusikut. Kokku on neid toonud ühine soov - otsida ja leida kooskõla eesti pärimusliku laulukultuuri ning tänapäeva moodsa muusikakeele vahel.
Lepaseree muusika fookuses on traditsiooniline laul, selle iseäralik esituslaad ja paeluvalt salapärane tähenduste maailm. Minimalistlikes seadetes on vanadele lugulauludele jäetud kandev ruum. Meelika tundlik ja siiras esitusviis toob ajahämarusse vajunud laulud lähemale, annab neile uue hingamise. Kulno mängitud uuenduslikud kõlavärvid akordionil ja Paul lisatud meisterlikud lahendused erinevatel kitarridel loovadki kokku Lepaseree, mis seikleb mööda päritud muusikamustreid ning veel avastamata helimaastikke.

Lepaseree is an Estonian folk band. Their repertoire consists mostly of old Estonian traditional songs. Minimalistic is probably the best word to describe their arrangements that let the power and meaning of the old songs shine through the music. Lepaseree literally means “going smoothly” and this smooth flow makes the audience feel like they are sitting in front on an ancient storyteller who is painting pictures after pictures for the listeners to see in their mind’s eye. The stories might be old and distant, but the songs will take everyone on a journey to these ancient times.

Been more than 5 months of staying in Estonia...now realising completely the real essence and feel of this song. Estonia where forest cover is more than 50%, this song says and conveys it all! . Fortunate to spend my time over here and hoping for great times ahead!!!

Nope. It's most likely Võro/Seto language/dialect.

It`s Estonian, yes, but not this, what we are talking, this is an old wõro`s language, from south Estonia , modern people from Tallinn, for example, dont understand it quite not at all... :D

The estonian lyrics doesn't match

The song is sung in southern Estonian and the captions are the translations to northern Estonian and English. That's why they don't match. You see on the screen the northern Estonian words "miks puhuvad põhjatuuled" but you hear the southern Estonian version "mille puhkva põhjatuulõ". They are similar, but not the same. Some of the words are completely different like "hakkas" in northern Estonian which is "naksi" in southern Estonian, "õekene" in northern Estonian which is "sõsarakõnõ" in southern Estonian and so on. It's a beautiful song - väga ilus regilaul! Mille puhkva põhjatuulõ Lõõdsutava lõunatuulõ Puhkva velle vete pääle Imä latsi lainetellõ Vihmakõnõ vellekene Saarõkõnõ sõsarakõnõ Ära minno hämmetägu Tehku likõs latsekõista Kastku kuiva karjalasta Ole-i kotu, kon ma kuio Ole-i tarrõ, kon tahene Ole-i esä tarre teinu Velli palki veeretanu Kodu kuiva kuusõ alla Tarõ tammelehe alla.
