Good poem

I find Leopardstar to be a very interesting character who can be relatable during many situations. She paired up with Tigerstar and was wavered by her own personal gain, which many of us face in our daily lives. In the end, Leopardstar knows what she has done is wrong and tries everything in her power to make it right - even sacrificing herself for the ones she has hurt. That is what makes great character development.

@VioletTown11 5 , Yes, Leopardstar also had that on her mind. Then again, she was more focused on her wanting to be mates with Tigerstar. Also, wouldn't she know about Tigerstar attempting to murder Bluestar? She would know it would put her clan in danger but yet she did out of what she would gain and not for the good of her clan.

I love that they showed Ferncloud being a warrior before she became the ultimate mom

I’ve never seen her relationship with Tigerstar as her falling in love: much more that she wanted a mate, not necessarily Tigerstar, to rule the forest with. I expect she was quite lonely, she simply seems that way.

" but ohh the books are fantasy, they still could've done that!! " yes I know. But at the same time, it's from cat's povs. There's no magic, etc.

@@77roxii7 There *is* magic in this series, but I would say that's a little besides the point. The cats don't act like cats; they behave like little furry people- I believe the authors have specifically mentioned they think of them that way. Real cats don't mate for life or have doctors, or live in colonies with roughly equal numbers of toms and mollies. It's interesting that you'll handwave those elements that are unrealistic to feral cat behaviour, but that you draw the line at gay cats. I would invite you to think about why that is- it's not wrong to have these thoughts as gut reactions, but it's a good idea to examine them and understand why we think what we do, and if we might be wrong.

@@froginatub it's made to be a cats pov but that us, as readers, understand. U can't just make a realistic cat pov book with the lines " meow meow. " that just doesn't work. And the whole starclan thing is just like how us humans believe in God

@@77roxii7 you're right, they act like humans to be recognizable to us as readers! I'm not suggesting they act completely like realistic cats, and go around meowing- those would be pretty silly books if they did. So if they can believe in god like some humans do, and act like humans in other ways, I wonder why some people think it's too far for them to be gay, like some humans are? They enter more human-like relationships already- mating essentially for life in a similar way to humans marrying. Like you say- I think that's a good writing choice so readers can understand and be invested in the relationships. But if we accept that, why not same-gender relationships, too? Again, I invite you to ask yourself why that is the "unrealistic" aspect you object to, when you're okay with other ones.

Leopardstar is honestly such an amazing character and leader. She desperately needed character development especially since she was in Riverclan, the most underrated clan. This book really helps her. She was such an interesting leader, and since there is no book with a cat in Riverclan’s perspective, she never got what she needed and deserved. I’m actually excited to get this book to actually LEARN about Leopardstar and her life. (Oof this got WAY more likes than intended lol. Thanks for the likes! Have a nice day/night! Uwuwuwu)

Weekly Warrior naw. When Tallstar was leader, Thunderclan was really involved so it got a lot of development. We also have Tallstar’s super edition. Also, the things that Brokenstar drove them out was really interesting. Currently, with Onestar as leader, you can feel the tension between him and Firestar. He also causes a battle. I think Darktail is Onestar’s son. I don’t know. If he is, then that gives Windclan more development. Also the thing with Leafpool nd a Crowfeather is amazing. Riverclan is plain. Almost no interesting super editions. Never anything dramatic happens. Mothwing I guess but seriously. They are just there to add to the plot. The thing with the poison and Leopardstar dying is just for plot convenience.

oh wow- I always figured Feathertail had just forgiven Leopardstar since we only ever saw her as this really sweet, idealistic, and lovable character but she? actually has realistic feelings and?? a broader personality??? that readers can connect with and relate to????? amazing

1:03 that broke my heart. It's just so so sad. I feel really bad for Leopardstar. She doesn't deserve the hate she gets. 💔😭

It's nice to finally have Leopardstar's character get fully resolved in a way thanks to the manga as while reading her introduction to the books all the way to her death, her development never felt complete. I really hope she does end up getting a super edition! And wonderful video as always Akira! Keep up the phenomenal work!^^

I’ve never had any strong feelings about Leopardstar but this manga has given me a new respect for her.

I think it would have made more sense with Mistyfoot rather than Feathertail, but whatever.

Its most likely because Feathertail was so young when it happened and always knew her heritatage so it wouldve left a greater impact on her than it would a cat who had more experince with hard times and just found out there true parentage if you know what I mean plus having Mistyfoot accepts the offer of deputy so quickly after what happened just to not trust her would kinda not makes sence

Yeah, because Leopardstar allowed Mistyfoot’s brother, Stonefur, to be killed by Blackfoot, Tigerstar, and Darkstripe. She never really did anything to Feathertail besides putting her in danger.

I just finished Leopardstar's Honor and wow was it ever heartbreaking

I like how distrustful Leopardstar was about Thunderclan, ShadowClan and WindClan, she also didn’t trust Fireheart/star at first making her afraid of him

I really hope Leopardstar gets a Novella or Super Edition of her! I want to know of her regrets, her pride, vanity, and everything she did to make RiverClan a peaceful clan. I mean it makes sense that RiverClan’s been ignored for too long if they’re so peaceful.

If were getting more RiverClan I wan’t a Hawkfrost novella next! After the Leopardstar super edition.

Shrika Balguri oh haha But I agree, a Hawkfrost novella is what we need! We never got his reasoning for doing all he did: was he already being visited by Tigerstar? Did he simply want power? Did he do it for Mothwing? Did he love Mothwing? What did he feel about Sasha? Did he love Bramblestar? There are so many questions we never got answers to. He’s always been “oops bad guy do bad”. He never really hadmuch character.

Not Leopard X Feather, but Sasha X Feather and Fern X Feather. Honestly her struggle in this book reminded me of someone struggling with their sexuality with people around you not accepting you and then in the end they do accept you.

I wish there was an Ivypool super edition so the sister Vs sister theme can keep going on with Dovewing's silence, and the books never really showed fully what happened after training. Like how was she after killing Antpelt?? How did Thunderclan react to her looking dead every morning?? I don't need sleep, I need *answers*

Thorn'Tooth Yo same! It could show her struggles there, her relationship with Dove, Fernsong being a den dad, her communicating with the three cause that’s a big problem in the books, her relationship with Hawk and making the Dark Forest more sympathetic so the Clan cats may actually want to join it, maybe have her talk with Holly so Holly’s death feels more earned. Maybe Holly is why she decides to communicate with the three more and try and talk to Dove. So many problems solved! Plus Ivy is my fav character as you can tell by my name. XD

I would have quickly pointed out to her that she should know very well from experiences with Tigerstar that a clan leader can easily lose all of their nine lives at once if they're ripped apart enough, lol

I actually have a character that closely resembles Feathertail AND Leopardstar. They both lost their mother when they were kits, so does my OC(he also lost his sister so-). Feathertail doesn't let go of the past easily and doesn't forgive Leopardstar, and my OC is distant to his Clan just as Feathertail is. Leopardstar is trying to prove she's a worthy cat, and my OC wants to prove that he'll be a worthy warrior even if his sister made it to warriorhood before he did.

The end of the manga is the start of the second series, Along with FireStar’s Quest.

I’m just getting to this book two months later. It’s so beautiful and I’ve gained some affection for Riverclan because of it.

I bought the book on my kindle, and I’m now noticing how insanely beautiful teh background art is, along with the colors of cats such as Sasha. Lol idk why I said that but there.

I preordered this and ima bout to read it all soon :)

This is an awesome story

Sasha got a serious glow up on her design since the disaster of the Tigerstar and Sasha series. And even though this is not my fave art style, I LOVE how she looks. I think the art improved a good bit but it might be because of the presence of color.

Ngl what strikes me as truly unforgivable was how she let Stonefur die. Her loyalty to Riverclan ABSOLUTELY DID waver when she allowed one of her own - her own *deputy,* mind you - be slaughtered right in front of her. Forget Feathertail and Stormfur - Leapordstar needs to pay for the loss of Stonefur, and for the sheer god damned AUDACITY it takes to allow him to die, then ask his sister to be her deuputy. "Hey, uh, I know I indirectly murdered your brother and all, but can you do this big responsibility for me pls? k thx baiii"

Leopardstar was so blind bc she was the leader and never swallowed her own pride until now ty Erin Hunter

Funny that in the manga 'A Shadow in the RiverClan' Leopardstar felt very sorry in the end for the way she treated FeatherTail and StormFur, but in The New Prophecy series, set after this manga, she didn't treat very well the two cats, sometimes thinking about them as half clans so less worthy of praise

I love how chubby she is in the manga.

Leopardstar is one of my favorite characters. She's the only one who never cowed to Firestar or showed him favoritism even after all the things he did to save the Clans. That's what makes her the strongest female character. Now, I know the whole Tiger-Leopard thing is against her, but consider this: she respected Tigerclaw way back when he was just a ThunderClan warrior. She admired his skills and determination. Enter some random kittypet: Why would she care? I doubt she would believe the word of some cat she doesn't think very highly of. And while she knows what she did was wrong, I don't think it's wrong of her to choose Firestar over the Tigerstar that she THINKS she knows. After all, Firestar's bestfriend killed her old apprentice, had a forbidden romance, and turned traitor to her Clan at every chance he got. Hardly a standing ovation in the trust department. Yes, Stonefur was sad and awful and Feathertail's thoughts are valid, but if she was ready to wish for Leopardstar's death as a joke, she should have just joined Thunderclan. I feel as though this clashes with what Stormpaw and Featherpaw told Graystripe after the BloodClan battle: They need us to rebuild RiverClan. That doesn't sound like a grudge. or Feathertail's whole thing about Clan borders being important when she never had any issue leaving to go on the quest, fall for another Clan cat, and die for complete strangers.
