Absolutely phenomenal.Immense beauty.The Concerto, Chopin, fantastic conductor, a Fazioli Grand and Leonora Armellini..just a perfect match.

The best executiion I have seen in this competition. She sould winn. Brava Leonora non riesco a smettere di rivederti e ascoltarti in questa esecuzione così espressiva e bilanciata.

39:43 the shallow key depth to end the phrase is satisfying to watch. The Fazioli sings in the upper registers and with such even playing the finale sounded especially bright and exeburant. Armellini's show of confidence added to the spirit of that final run.

Splendida! Romantica, ma mai sdolcinata o leziosa. Potente nei momenti che richiedono maggior forza. Profonda, intima. Ottimo fraseggio. Complimenti!

You can actually see how ecstatic she is at the end! She really loves this! I've been rooting for her from the start, hope she wins!

@@hatchegg80 I have a Fazioli F278, and so do 3 of my collegues. I also represented Fazioli for a while in South-East Asia as an adviser to potential buyers. And trust me, a Fazioli piano reveals its marvels and full potential only after a long time of playing on it. It's not a standard Steinway or Yamaha piano. Soundboard is made of the same wood as the Stradivarius Violin. To make a Fazioli sound good you need excellent command of touch and aural awareness. Maybe you're blessed with these assets. Good for you my friend.

@@thepianocornertpc well, good to know. My non expert view having tried it is that fazioli makes most people sound better with some practice, pianos like august forster and sauter on the other hand expose most people and require real skill to make them sound good. I'm not in the trade.

@@hatchegg80 Forster and Sauter are not te be compared with Fazioli of course. The only piano that is on a par with Fazioli is Steingraeber & Sohne.

SHe is the only one that provoked continuous shivers down my spine and tears and awe. She goes very deep into the music and into you who are listening

Musicista d'altri tempi. Bel suono, sempre con eleganza e stile da grande professionista. Per carità, tutti bravi al Chopin ma Leonora ha qualcosa in più che non ho sentito in altri. Spero sia considerata dalla commissione come merita. In ogni caso avrà sicuramente una eccellente carriera davanti a sé. Grazie Leonora.

Leggendo le biografie più approfondite di Federico Francesco :) si direbbe che lei sia la più chopiniana: belcanto, un po' troppa libertà con l'orchestra, ma è spontanea e parla al cuore. Purtroppo Chopin non è in giuria, ma stasera si sapranno i verdetti.

BRAVISSIMA ! Ho avuto il piacere e la fortuna di ascoltarla dal vivo al Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, 15 giorni fa, ed ora la riascolto da Varsavia, dal Concorso che ha vinto. Meraviglioso rivederla suonare con tanta grinta e sentimento, e spero di risentirla presto. Una bella edizione questa, merita vederla, anche tecnicamente (regia video) è molto piacevole. Brava Leonora !

il suono della Armellina è avvolgente, ben bilanciato, esprime davvero un sentimento che ha unità. So che è non è elegante dirlo, ma non capisco come possa aver vinto Liu, che ha un peso dalla testiera da performer, ma di cui non si coglie il cuore.

I'm amazed when I hear these contestants ! Better than the recordings I grew up with is it technique ,musicality ,depth ? What would Rubinstein say .Weall know what he said when he heard Pollini ! The training now has the scientific mechanism of human anatomy and the mechanics of the instrument so Hofmann , Lhevinne ,Rosenthal ,Sauer ,Bolet (the best I've heard )reveal different personalities and perspectives but the perfection of todays artist the powerful body -instrument connection is so common today !

Sorita’s was amazing, but I do think that, in my opinion, Armellini’s was a tiny bit better, but both are very talented and full of depth.
