I only discovered these guys a short time ago - when you listen to their studio recordings they sound almost more like Chicago than Chicago. The fact they're from Russia and other eastern European nations (including Ukraine) shows that great music is borderless and has a power to bring people together like almost no other creation of man.

Mikhail Puntov has such a pure sweet voice. I love it. He also does a fantastic job on the bands cover of "So Very Hard to Go". That's one of the best songs ever, imo, and the band just kills it. They're always fun to watch. I really like the entire collaboration of everyone coming together.

The lead vocalist is pretty good but I miss Serge. Would love to see things go back to the way they should be in his country so he can rejoin. And I do miss Sergey Kashirin. Man is he talented.

Nothing against this vocalist. He is wonderful, but I really do miss Serge. I like him on this song. I like all the vocalists, and the one in this video is amazing on so very hard to go.

And in addition to the travel and being so far from home, they are also dealing with the politics of what is going on in Russia and the Ukraine. Yet, they still put on wonderful shows and bring energy.

This was recorded in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin in late June of this year. Their first appearance there. Excellent show!

To Ralph G. I like Serge also but on this song the words are "searchin" and Serge always sang "searching " eccentuating the "g" and that's why I like this version better!

LOL - I like Serge best because over the years the more I listened to Peter Cetera the more irritated I got. Precisely for things like what you point out. It seemed to me Peter wouldn't hold any note longer than a quarter note and preferred eighth notes. OTOH, Serge doesn't do that. So I can totally relate to how you feel.

The song intro sound to me like the original Chicago recording. Near the end at 4:00 minute mark the music sounds like a cover band. Who is playing the piano opening?

I believe the piano opening is being played by Sergey Kurmaev who is the keyboardist for the band. He joined in 2020, replacing original keyboardist Vlad Senchillo.

True. Chicago is in some sense also a tribute band as well with only 3 of the original 8 members still touring with them.

They sound more like the original Chicago did then the Chicago of today! They're the "posers". I've seen Chicago perform 6 times since 1973 and the last time I saw them in Chicago with REO I was really disappointed. In the 70's they OWNED music, now they're just a glimpse of what they were!

Most members of this "cover band" not only had to learn how to sing in English but Leonid transcribed the first charts by ear, as no sheet music was available. How's that for a "cover band"?
