A nice abridged version; his voice lends very well to the Narrators cool, almost disbelieving recollections. A number of chapters have been omitted, but this serves to pace the story at a rapid lick, and it comes over very well.

There are so many iterations of this amazing story. Now Mr Spock has given us his reading of the original. And so the legend of this tale of narrow escape for human kind rescued by the smallest of creatures against the mental giants so primitive that upon landing in New world, they begin firing away and murdering, instead of taking the more intellectual route of extending the offered hand of friendship the far more wise a greeting. Too unintelligent were they to realize that they were all but doomed. Mr Spock would say that their thinking assumed a two-dimensional pattern. "Most Illogical."
